My 2020 2.7 with 30,000 miles has not had anything like a shudder ever so I’d say it’s not normal. I’ll be very disappointed if my 2022 ends up with this.

Hope you have your disappointment hat ready. Every 2.7 and 3.5 both 2021 and 2022 I’ve sat in have a shudder or idle vibration. 99% sure I’ve narrowed it down to the torque converter. But who knows. Ford reps are literally the absolute worst. And the dealers are 1000x’s worse.

I've had my '22 2.7EB for a little over a month now. No shudder or vibration, most times I can't even tell if it's running.
Keep your disappointment hat, I'm good.

Stoked your happy bud. Many, many of us who also paid $55k+ for these trucks are not and ford can care less. Just trying to look out.

I’ve sat in and test drove both a 2021 2.7 and 2021 3.5, neither had it so I’m two for two.

Hopefully you get lucky then dude that would be rad. Unfortunately not everyone is as lucky. Shit there’s 3 buy backs on my local dealers lot just for that. One of which is my old 2021.

Truck works perfect. Runs flawless. But 100% something is either misaligned or vibrating at idle on some trucks. Hopefully there’s a TSB by summer time.

My 2.7 shudders at 600 RPMs. Nothing that screams there’s something wrong with it but it is pretty annoying. Feels like the motor mounts are super stiff.

Just picked up a 22, 2.7EB. Starts out with a smooth higher idle then in a short time idle reduces.

There is no noticeable vibration in fact if in gear the only way to tell that the engine is running is to release the brake and the truck advances.

Have had 18 & 19 3.5EB and those had a much more noticeable idle.

Hi guys, test drove a 2.7 SCREW today. First time driving an EB & overall was very impressed with it & the 21 in general.

HOWEVER, this is a brand new truck and had a shimmy, almost like a miss at idle. Tach didn't budge but it was noticeable. Maybe like a 4 cyl shudder at idle with the ac on, ya know?

Is that normal for these motors?

Edit- noticed in drive (normal drive mode) and in park
I've switched from 91 octane to 87 because of prices I'm on 2nd tank and have noticed a studder in the engine when coming to a stop

I am very picky and will say with 15K on my truck it is buttery smooth at Idle. With that said, there has been time or two when the A/C woud cycle that I felt a shudder but I have felt that in nearly every car I have been in. I have used 87 octane for daily driving and 91 for towing with no difereance at idle.
