Disable WIRELESS CarPlay?

Does anyone know if there’s a way to disable wireless CarPlay, but still have your phone connect via bluetooth, and use CarPlay via USB when you plug in? Basically how it all worked in my 2018 w/ Sync 3.

I don’t like wireless CarPlay because it disconnects your phone from WiFi (it uses WiFi to connect to the truck). I don’t have cellular coverage in my driveway so when i get in my truck, wireless carplay connects, i lose internet access and can’t input a destination in Waze. It REALLY sucks!

Not sure about Carplay but in Android Auto there is a setting to disable Wireless Android auto.

I believe settings general CarPlay - you can toggle off wireless CarPlay.

Here’s how to disable wireless car play. I’ve found it to not work consistently, and prefer wired.

Settings > Connectivity > Wireless App Projection. Then just toggle off.
