Dirt driving @ Dog Creek with stock PowerBoost

We had a fun Sunday with our completely stock PowerBoost at Dog Creek near Redding, CA. Lots of snow and ice and the stock Hankook ATs were serviceable aired down to 24 PSI. Slippery traction mode and controlled movements helped.

I’ll have to buff out the pinstripes.

The stock tires did pretty good on snow, and no worse than I expected on ice. For what its worth, some of the other vehicles went waaaaay sideways and I skidded maybe a few inches on ice at most. It was scary, but not uncontrollable.

I'm very glad I stuck with the stock tires. When they wear out, then I'll look for some P rated replacements.

I am looking forward to winter so I can try mine out on snow and ice. I have the stock Hankook ATs also. Did you also use your rear locker? And 4 H or 4 L?

I went in 4L a few times when descending on dirt to save my brakes. Used 2/4A/H the rest of the time on dirt. I did not need to use the rear locker but this was mostly forest roads with a little ice and snow.
