Has anyone used Dip Your Car Hyper-Dip to black your your badges?

I know someone that has done it on an older F-150, it looked good for a bit then started peeling, badges are pretty cheap these days so most people just buy the BAP badges and do it that way.

I was going to HyperDip mine but ended up going the PlastiDip route. My thought was I would try the cheaper method first and then try the HyperDip if the PlastiDip didn't turn out. Fortunately the PlastiDip worked good enough for my fender badges and grille and tailgate emblems.

I popped off the fender badges but just masked off around the Ford emblems to avoid overspray. Plus I didn't want to go through the hassle of removing the grille.
