Take it one step father! Your insurance company has your vin, buys all of their customer data from Ford, GM, Fiat/Chrysler, then raises your rates or drops you based on your driving habits!

The benefits of our new high tech trucks and cars are amazing, the downside is
big brother is watching and waiting to dig into our pockets!
If you think insurance companies don’t do this already you’re crazy lol.

source: I work for an insurance company. Most of the time it’s for your benefit. Will save you at least 5% no matter what.

On the other hand, if you drive responsibly, your rates will go down. It works both ways...
I have always had several cars on my policy.
my ins. co. Finally persuaded me to put their little ‘tracker’ on the newer cars for 90 days.
my son, in college, in a dorm.
probably put maybe 500 miles on his car in those 90 days.
he maybe has put on 8,000 miles in two years on the Taurus.
my wife, drives the snot out of the Trailblazer. Wears a car out in 4 yrs or less.
( why I won’t get her a new one, she kills them too quickly)
and I put that little tracker in the Ranger just to see if I could get a discount on that.
in those 90 days, the Ranger went out 4 times, but one time it was before 5am
maybe 200 miles.

did not get a discount on the student that took a bus from the dorm,
did not get a discount on the Trailblazer. ( full coverage)
did not get a discount on the Ranger that only left my property 4 x (full coverage)

those things are bull shit.

rates would have probably doubled on the K1500 ( liability) if I had put it on that one. Daily trips beginning at 4am ( they say bad crap happens between 12-5).
won’t ever put One of those things in again

lol what company are you with? as someone who works in insurance that makes absolutely zero sense. you will normally get a discount for the first 6 months while they evaluate driving. call your agent and ask him about the discount you are receiving on each of those vehicles

That was Liberty Mutual
dumped them last august after 35 yrs.
rates kept going up-up-up

moved to a different major insurer and knocked $2400 off of an annual premium.
this company like most others only offer 6mo policies.
the new truck added about about $500 yr after dropping the Ranger
