Here is what I noticed when I was at Courtesy Ford checking out the new Lariat '25s 502A.

- OLED temperature indicators in the climate dials are gone
- Several buttons from the top rack above the screen have been moved / deleted so there is a bunch of blanks
- Fog lamps are the cheaper bulb kind instead of LED
- Front Lights look cheaper
- 18 speaker stereo is now down to 14 speakers (headrest speakers gone)

Something about the interior feels "cheaper" / more plasticky

What did I miss?

my 23' 502A came with power deployable running boards, but not sure if that was standard in 23 or an option that the dealer added

Yeah agreed. I had a 2021 502a Lariat Sport and now have a 2024 Lariat 502a with BAP.

Was really annoyed the headrest speakers from the 18 speaker system were deleted. Also the digital temp display on the dial missing is annoying. It’s always hard to find the temp on the screen.

Also pretty sure there are fewer accent lights in around the trays and cup holders.

Aside from those quirks, I’m actually liking the flatter finishes and less shiny interior. I also like the pro-access tailgate. I almost never lower the tailgate door anymore.

The 3.5 ecoboost has more punch but is more thirsty than the 2.7.

Tilt steering wheel , Camera Bed, real leather. As a Ford homer , i'm truly disappointed in Ford. Its one thing to say we have to raise prices but when you also take options away at same time, that's is a damn shame. A loaded 502A PB from 24MY went from 76k to 25MY and now 80k. I was actively looking at GM this time around but Ford actually had a better deal for me so i bought my 24.

I don't think any carmakers except zee Germans use real (full grain) leather anymore. Even the genuine leather in American cars is actually the fake stuff.

Anyone remember when the King Ranch interiors were actually saddle leather? They felt like a worn baseball glove. Pretty sure we haven't stopped murdering millions of cows every year, so not sure why the supply of leather would dry up.

Mine did too, but it was an option on top of the 502a package. I don't think you can get them on a Lariat at all now.

Deployables are usually an option on 502A.

Sure, but isn't leather already free? Sure, it has to be processed into a useable/suitable product for seats or whatever, but we are already "producing" the leather every time someone eats a steak or burger.

Nae mate. If that were the case we would be using real cotton in clothes, real wood in furniture, real glass in everything, real metal in electronics,

Instead its PLASTIC PLASTIC PLASTIC

America makes oil cheap and everything is made from oil

No, leather is not "free". That doesn't even make sense.

What doesn't make sense about it? Cattle is raised, slaughtered and processed, and then sold for its flesh. What happens to the hide? Thrown out in most cases I would assume. The price of the cow already includes the gross weight, including the hide, hooves, skeleton and whatever other undesirables.
