I just looked on my dealers web site for used F 150s
1 Limited
2 Tremors
2 XLTs

Only a total of 46 used vehicles on their lot.
168 new vehicles with 69 being F 150s

It would have to be one hell of a deal to give up my dialed in 22 xlt f-150. Would have to start all over.
Same at this dealership. 3 22 or newer. That's where I'm at. I did a complete suspension overhaul. I have new tires and wheels. I just finished up power fold / telescoping tow mirrors with auto fold and auto dimming. Than add spray in bed liner, tonneau cover, Rek Gen mud flaps, 3rd brake light, and a couple other little accessories. That's why I toyed with a Lariat 250. Ain't doing the suspension and mirrors again. Even though it was a good deal I'd rather have my current truck. We do want to pull a trailer a few years from now, but we can revisit it then.

Yea that’s what I did was shocked when I added it all up. It’s the way I want it now. I have the 3.5 and pull a 25foot lance. Way better with suspension stiffened up. No issues at all.

Many dealers deduct for owner installed mods.. especially really high lifts. But there's a dealer in Sanford Florida who really likes them! I'm willing to bet you had a great color and nice wheels and tires too. There ARE ugly trucks lolol!
I think banks are tighting up on approving new truck loans as higher trims put the price right on the edge for 'normal' folks.
But I bet it was just a good looking truck and someone at the dealership wanted it.

Has anybody else here had their dealership make an extremely tempting offer to purchase your truck?

A couple days ago I dropped my truck off for some maintenance work. A couple hours after that I get a call from what I thought would have been the service department. It was actually the sales manager. They told me how they don't have enough newer used trucks and that they have quite a bit of new inventory. He continued and said they could definitely pay off my truck with some cash to spare.
Honestly at first I kind of laughed at him...like you have to be kidding me right!? I just purchased that truck in June of 24.

Anyways when I went to pick the truck up they had an offer sitting on the table for me. They would pay off the entire loan from Ford credit and the additional money would go towards a down payment for a new truck.

They called me again yesterday and I once again told them sorry I'm not interested and I just dumped a bunch of money in that truck. I figured if I told them I wanted a super duty for one hell of a price they would leave me alone. Nope. Without even having to use an x plan they already had the price considerably lower than MSRP. Honestly if I didn't just dump a bunch of money into my truck I would be in a Lariat Super Duty right now.

I told the sales manager you want my keypad right? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

So what the hell is going on? Anybody know?
What dealer? Just wondering…

During Covid I had a similar thing happen, but not exactly. Basically dealer had nothing on the lot and wanted used trucks. They took my lease in early, and dropped some cash on top of the next lease as part of my down payment. I got a newer truck, lower payment, and was able to turn my lease in months early and not worry about being over miles, which I probably would have been.

Yes, I had a call from a salesman a week ago from a dealership after I had a small repair, (side mirror puddle light came loose).
I was kinda of annoyed. When I went back the next day to get the part the service writer says they are doing that on some vehicles because they are short of used vehicles.
I didn’t return the salesman’s call.

I have a 2022 Lariat PB 4x4 502A loaded 6k miles and I cannot even get this set up anymore. I have to get a KR to even get close to the options I have. With Granger and incentives, I paid $59,800 for a $73k MSRP truck after 2 or 3 price increases from order date 1/28/2022. They couldn't offer me enough to part with this creampuff. But who knows. :)
Exactly, I was initially looking for a Lariat but found a 23 Tremor with the 402 package and a few other goodies. Paid 55k for a VERY nicely equipped truck with 11k miles the MSRP was 75k. That was in November, saw a similar truck last week for over $59k. It appears supply is well under demand for decent low mileage trucks. At least in mid-Atlantic states. I did a 200 mile search and there wasn’t much available.

I sold my 2023 Lariat Powerboost to Cam Clark Ford in Airdrie on Friday, its was a long box 302, that particular truck was really optioned up, I got 60K CAD for it, they are shipping it south to the US market, its a really lucrative business as the exchange on the dollar makes it a win win.

Hmmm. I just had a puddle light drop out of the driver's side mirror.

Didn't bother going to the dealer about it. They aren't exactly handy and the wait time for an appointment is onerous. Just ordered a new one. Should be here in a few days.

Anyway, it didn't happen to me and I wouldn't take them up on it if it did but the unicorn stories can be real.

A friend bought a 2022 (?) Jeep pickup, new, off the lot.

A few months later, out of the blue, they call him, offer to pay off the truck and put a couple grand in his hand, no strings attached.

He did it.

Which one? I bought my '24 Dark Horse from Suburban Ford of Sterling Heights last year. I only bought it there because my normal dealer didn't even have an allocation yet, and I found mine on the assembly line and found out where it was being shipped (about an hour drive).

A few months back, my dealer offered me $40K for my '21 Platinum 5.0 6.75' with 66K miles. That would have given me $13K to put down on a '24 F350 Lariat Ultimate that I almost bought, but ultimately decided against it. At the time, I only had $28K @ 1.89% left to pay on it (~2 years). And I've customized it just the way I like.

I'd resell a Gladiator too. Those things suck.

Ha.. yup that's them. I didn't purchase my truck from them, but I have had all my service work done there. My purchasing dealer is anti-modifications. They perform a lot of modifications there. About a year ago or so they had a service department overhaul. Been great ever since.

I purchased my 23' Lariat from them that ended up being a POS. I prefer to purchase my trucks from Milne, but their service department is horrible now.
