Outstanding job. One of a kind.

Not sure I understand the purpose of the map pockets on the back of the seats for a regular cab pickup, but ... you did all the other work, why not? :D
Thanks. Map pockets were just for extra storage space. Good spot for first aid kit, as well as maps lol. I do keep/use local offroad map books when I'm exploring FSRs or mild offroading and due to their size there's no real good other spot to store them in the truck.

Wow, I’m definitely impressed especially considering you made those from scratch 😮😲🙀.

I want leather more and more as time goes by. I dont have the patience, time, or skill to make them from scratch but I could remove the cloth covers and install leather covers myself. Considering leatherseats.com and Katskin. I’ll take any advice on those or others from an expert like you. I thought about Lariat Ebay takeoffs but I also have an XL with the jump seat and there are not many options for that unless I do a center console swap but that is another $1000 so not in the cards this year.

Again, I’m really impressed with your work. Great talent you have!
Thanks! I've never worked with leatherseats.com product so can't say anything about it. Katzkin has a lot of options, some of their material is better than others (mainly speaking to durability/longevity). They do offer factory match black perforated seats with grey stitching like OEM Lariat that I've installed many of, typically they have them in stock and price is lower than a typical production kit. Not sure how that works with their retail program though since we have a wholesale account with them.
You can also check out Alea Leather. We use their product often and it's very high quality at a similar price to Katzkin. They also offer factory match stock kits but can also do custom kits too. I just don't know if you can buy direct from them as a retail customer.

I agree on the console if you won't even use the center seat. Really makes a RC custom and will go well with your seats. I don't like leather except to look at, so I do wish there was a up-level cloth seat option like we used to have on virtually every vehicle made. Personally, I've always liked nice sheepskins. Warm in the winter and breathable in the summer. The ones I got have a layer of memory foam on the bottom and it really makes the seat much more comfortable. The stock seats are not that great...

I don't mind cloth either, just the grey cloth you get in the XLs is boring and has that work truck vibe. I was contemplating doing cloth on the centers of the seats with leather on the bolsters (similar to the base Tremor seats minus the camo) but I couldn't find any cloth material that stood out to me. I've done bucket seats in the past with plaid/tartan cloth centers with leather outers and even thought of doing that, just didn't think it would look good in a modern pickup.

My favorite seats in a recent vehicle were the Alcantara seats in my Challenger. They were ventilated and much less cold in the winter than leather. The bolsters were leather but the centers were Alcantara. Looked great too. I agree, the stock gray fabric looks really cheap. I'm sure Ford does that on purpose.

Yeah, it's like the code auto manufacturers would stick to making cheaper vehicles ugly. Competition forced them to stop doing that.

The regular cab is the Redheaded Stepchild of pickups but Ford did offer a XLT RC 2 years ago..and carpet was a option. Even Shelby quit offering RC's. You did what I wanted to do. Funny I never cared about high end audio but love a quiet ride. IF Ford offered a high trim RC I bet it would be popular even if it was far more expensive upgrade compared to a Crew or Super Cab. Very nice truck!

Very cool, I've tried to find full grain leather seat covers but all I could find was top grain.

Funny enough I tried ordering a 23 XLT RCSB just before the 24s came out but it never got scheduled. It would have come with some extra creature comforts from the factory (carpet, power seat, slightly nicer cloth) but in many ways I’m glad I ended up with a 24 instead. I don’t really care much for higher trim trucks, but I would take a reg cab Tremor any day.

I doubt you’d have much luck finding full grain covers. Full grain leather is much thicker and therefore harder to work with especially trying to contour it to a seat. It’s not impossible, many years ago we made custom upholstery for a customer with an old Jeep YJ out of full grain and it turned out incredible.

How much would charge to do that on a crew cab XLT?

Very nice. The carpeted flooring is the only thing I really really want for my 24 rcsb. Can you share the part number or a link?

Most seat covers look bloated, that looks very nice.

I believe the part number is ML3Z-1513000-AA. I didn’t end up using OEM carpet in mine since the price for it up here in Canada is stupidly high. I just glued a high quality carpet over the existing vinyl floor.

I’d be terrified to use that Tims cup in my truck after doing such a nice job upgrading the seats…even get nervous with a Contigo cup 😆.

Nice job. Plan on doing something similar to my XLT, the cloth seats are pretty meh.

I’m usually pretty good with not spilling liquids, it’s the crumbs that inevitably fall off the Timbits that makes a mess of the seats haha
