I am confused on what to do after the hockey stick removals.

Do I need to take off either of these pieces? Then how do I get the cupholder out? Does the entire trim piece around it just pop off?

the lower console trim has to come off, I believe on the drivers side there’s a screw in the trim you gotta remove

Thank you, I did some more tugging on pieces and it makes more sense, the more you get it taken apart.

i didnt take anything else off after your pic @Big Cam
i did grab where the shifter/cupholder trim piece meets your center console and pulled that up. you can see the clips in your pic that hold that trim down.

Well on my way boys. I appreciate everyone who rushed to help, this is one of the best communities I've been apart of in a long time.

Pretty much all that's left is swapping parts and running wires.

Obligatory I did it photo.
Cuo holder
Media light
Glove box loght
HVAC swap

For anyone doing this read the instructions on the first post carefully and follow along, they make perfect sense. I kept getting ahead of myself thinking I knew what to do and I got really confused.

Big thanks to @JHForman812 and @Vandi for reaching out when I was confused.

It's so absolutely worth it.

Another "I did it" post. Cup holder lights, media tray and glove box light.

Thanks @JHForman812 for the harness. These are 1top notch.

I think the factory put those 6 console bolts in and planned on them never coming out. I broke two taking them out, one with an impact drill (rear passenger) and then the next with simply using a 1/4" ratchet (middle driver). 4 others still holding the console in and it's rock solid, but damn that pisses me off on a 1600 mile truck.

I think if I take the seats out to retrofit the massage bladders, I'll try to fix the broken bolts. Until then, nobody knows but me and the internet. ;)

I started with an impact on them, but as soon as it started hammering I stopped, I’ve had enough bolt heads break off to know not to do that anymore. Hopefully they’re easy to drill out and replace. Good luck

Started adding the second door LED today. For those that don’t know, the bottom LED was removed by Ford in 22+ trucks.
I’m also doing sound deadening and block off plates for coming audio upgrades so it will be a week or so before all four doors are done.

I have 2015-2020 door LED lights. While the door was open I installed the RGB lights. They work but will not change colors even with the APIM edit for color changing. Still hopeful someone will figure out how to get color changing on the 22+ without having to swap to a 21 APIM.

Looks great! This is a mod I plan to do... eventually. I have a lot of irons in the fire right now

Care to share the part number for the 15-20 door lights? the 21 door lights are $50+ each. If the previous gen cost less, that would be nice.

Color change doesn’t work on 22 trucks, you can enable the menu but you can’t change/select a color. We got this working in a truck but it required a 21 APIM swap.

The 15-20 lights are different and will not bolt directly to the 21+ door panels. The door panels have a different design. I was only testing the lights in hopes of getting RGB working.

I completely understand irons in the fire. I have a room full of parts for the truck. Most of them are for the audio upgrade since the B&O Unleashed is so horrible. My 1969 Mustang in my garage has a trunk full of parts for it. I have my full time job and my second and third non-paying full time jobs. LOL

I commented on the thread on f150forum.com. I still hope someone can figure it out. LOL

I have purchased the lower door harness with lights, but have not picked them up yet. Can you confirm these are plug and play, and do not require any drilling?
