Just curious if anyone that’s installed this battery has had any issues. I put in back in march and everything’s been fine till Friday night. Sat morning my auto start/stop ceased to function. The truck is driven every day, around 350 miles per week. One of our wonderful members here just checked for me and my battery is at 68%. Nothing extra on truck to create extra draw (no dash cam, no stereo upgrades, nothing but the lock on my tonneau being tied into the door locks).
Thanks

You may have just gotten a bad one. Back to Costco and swap it which they will do no questions asked for the first 36 months from purchase.

Batteries are made by only a few companies (Clarios, East Penn, etc), then the retailer's sticker is slapped on it along with the retailers warranty.

So this has nothing to do with Costco, sounds like you might just have a bad battery.

Get it replaced.

Though many retailers sell batteries made by few manufacturers, the retailer price and warranty terms can vary widely (for the 'same' underlying battery).

Yep, 'stuff happen' to individual batteries. Recognizing that, IMO it's important to carefully shop in consideration of both price and warranty. For any given warranty term, IMO it's worth paying a bit more for a "free replacement" warranty vs a 'pro-rated cost replacement warranty'.

FWIW the one time I used the "free replacement" warranty on a Walmart Everstart Platinum battery (I've owned many of them), the swap was quick and easy with no questions asked and no $ out-of-pocket. That was a battery I probably ruined, inadvertently allowing it to become totally discharged on several occasions in a rarely-driven backup vehicle I own (failed to keep-up with battery-tending).

Costco is straightforward with the exchange as well although they do refund the core credit and then charge it again. It zeros out but ends up being 2 transactions. Not a big deal.

That’s my guess. I’m going to recharge it and reset the bms and monitor it for a bit first. If it loses charge again…. Off to Costco!

Not knocking the Costco Interstate at all…. I was just being specific in the battery I have.

I wouldn't reset the BMS as that makes the system think the battery is new. I would definitely recharge the battery and and continue to monitor it however.

I have a 3-week old Costco H7 Interstate. I just drove 30 miles over a 2-day span. I attached a NOCO 5A tender on the battery. The NOCO showed the battery charge level @ 25%. Should I assume it's a bad battery?
