I guess I should have got the add-on of the TPMS and camera when I ordered my truck, but I didn't have a trailer then.

I'm looking at adding it now and I don't see it for sale for the F-150. Only the F-250. Can that one be used?

Also, when you add the TPMS and camera to your trailer, does the video work with the 360 camera set up and does the tire pressure show in the dash like the truck tires? If not, I would probably look for an aftermarket solution that is a bit cheaper.

FWIW (this all relates to the 2022 F150 and RV described in my signature block) .....
  • The trailer TPMS + Cam kit I purchased and installed is PN LC3Z1A189A "Super Duty 2017-2022 Trailer Sensor Kit with Pro Trailer Backup Assist"; it works just fine with my F150's systems.
  • That kit included all that's needed for trailer TPMS and rear-view cam installation including the 7+12-pin bumper socket, but not the yaw-sensor itself (though the included harness has the connector to add a yaw sensor; yaw sensor / backup assist is moot for my 5th wheel trailer)
  • The trailer tire pressures and temperatures are displayed on my IPC similar to the truck's TPMS data (under a different menu selection relating to trailer info where the system is also user-configured to my preferred 'normal and 'warning' pressures using steering wheel control inputs)
  • The trailer TPMS low-pressure warnings are displayed on the IPC even without the specific menu item being active (just like truck TPMS warnings)
  • The trailer rear-cam view is selected on the 12" display cams menu ("Aux cam")
  • A full-screen image is displayed at any speed (not able to assign it to a split-screen or side-card, but it's easy to toggle between the trailer cam and, for example, the NAV display)
  • The trailer rear-view cam doesn't have any effect-on / relationship-to the 360-degree cam views (it's a totally independent / stand-alone view)
  • The trailer cam does not have IR / 'night vision'; my trailer has white-reverse/backup taillights which provide plenty of illumination for backing at night (I'm a solo-traveler with no person to act as a 'spotter', not a problem with this system day-or-night).
Yeah, there's some behavior I'd wish might be bit different, but overall it's a great system for me, provides the info I need, and I absolutely love not having any separate displays, wires, cables, etc in the cab of my truck for those functions (BTDT). Just hitch the trailer and voila, it's all there and working.

When I bought in June 2022 from Ford.Accessories.com that kit cost $660 + Texas sales tax + $10.62 for FedEx shipping (it arrived at my home address 3-days after order).

No regrets whatsoever, IMO well-worth the price for the fully-integrated convenience. (y)

YMMV, I suppose it's possible 2024 might be different, hope that helps. :)

EDIT to add screen shots taken when I was first setting-up the system:

More just FYI, I ran the harness inside my RV (through cabinets) to avoid any unsightly cam-cable on the exterior of my fiberglass RV shell. The cam is mounted above my rear window with an overhead cabinet behind that inside, one small hole through the shell with sealant for the cable to pass to the cam outside.

My TPMS module is mounted in a lower-inside cabinet above the tandem axles on the driver's side, never any problem with 'receiving' TPMS data through the floor of the camper.

This is great information, thank you. I remember reading that a gooseneck trailer can work with backup assist when a yaw sensor is used. I have converted my fifth wheel trailer to a gooseneck trailer using the GEN-Y product and the B&W turnover ball hitch on my truck. Can anyone verify that backup assist should be able to work this way? Thanks!
