Alright, after a sick baby, dead battery in the trade in right before I was set to leave, and a power outage at the dealership I was finally able to bring her home late Friday night! She drives like a dream. I spent all of Saturday tinkering with all the settings and cruising around testing different drive modes. No rust, 800 battery, no weird or miss aligned gaps, everything looks good. Still feels surreal that it’s actually here. I guess time will tell if it was actually “worth the wait” but so far I’m very pleased.

Here some pics, and in true PNW fashion she’s already experienced her first shower lol

Yeah, the struggles conspired against you and you still got your big, beautiful, grey boost truck!!! I love it.

My good friends at Ford sent a communique this morning. My truck is set to arrive in COS 3-9 February. A month from now. I will spend the day reviewing the procedures to track the train. Then I will spend the next day setting up my Amazon purchase. I will spend the next day arranging my detailing cabinet. What will I do the other 27 days? I'm going nutty already. How fun!! 🤪

HA! Do not worry you will be able to find a thousand things to research and that time will pass in a flash.

Also note that along with the thousand things to research you could empty your wallet of thousands of dollars. :)

I agree, these trucks are not cheap and neither are the seemingly endless array of bells & whistles we can add to them, like gas!
In anticipation of delivery I have not completely filled the 36gl tank on my truck since October. I'm trying to decide how much gas to give them at trade in, they already told me even though a full tank of gas would double the value of my 19 Lariat they will not pay me for it! lol

Just curious if you know what the rebates where?
I don't, sorry! I know I had a PCO of $2000, and the general Ford rebate of $1000 from when I ordered, but I didn't think I could use them together. I had also received another $2000 PCO in November, but again, I don't think they could "piggy back". No idea where the rest came from. I'm hoping maybe Ford is adding in something for the 2022 trucks still waiting to be delivered? I was very surprised to have Granger tell me I had $4000.
I did use Ford financing. Not sure if that had any effect.

I thought about the Diamondback. I think it's pretty cool. My buddy has one on his Denali HD. It is the real deal, no doubt about it. It can hold a side-by-side on top. But it folds in two pieces with the bar in the middle. I don't have a need for an ATV, so I changed my mind on it. I'm going with the Retrax Pro XR. The cost is not insignificant, it's a $2k. It takes up valuable space on the back of the short bed, but it rolls away and locks wherever you want. So if I do find something tall, just roll it back. I can use the tracks to put a rack or basket on top if needed. (I haven't thought about it too much.) LOL
I went with the Retrax One MX because I also like the features. Went with the polycarbonate version to not dig into my payload as much. I was able to find one on clearance for $900. :)

It all helps. I see in my area Ford is offering $1,000 customer cash and 0% for 36 months on MY 23.
I will have to see if they will give me that on mine. Payments will be a bit steep but still doable.
Any movement progress report today? I have a feeling your going to win our race ;)

Nothing today. I have a feeling it goes into Barstow for a train change which is Southern California. Didn’t want to bother my guy today. So I asked yesterday what the financing rates were for 22s with my zip code. Got 0% for 36, .9% for 48, 1.9% for 60 and 3.9% for 72. So that’s good.

I remember Barstow....
It will be interesting if I hear anything from the dealer tomorrow. When I told them I had an overnight trip last Thur/Fri they said ok we will have delivery set for Monday (tomorrow) so far no email or status to show the truck has arrived, and believe me I have been watching especially since we were nearing page 225 haha
