Fellow towers. Pulling a 4K#, 21 foot trailer with a '21 3.5 EB.

Occasionally while towing, a single chime sounds that does not match other sounds the truck makes. No secondary indications on either display. Though not certain, It seems to go off when making a turn, i.e. a right from one road onto another road.

Anyone experiencing this? What is it?

Thanks.

Check the top of the center display screen next time it goes off. Most likely a height restriction warning about an overpass coming up on your route. Pretty annoying haha

Thanks much, Fellas.

That NAV setting is on. Strange though. Went off when there's no low bridge/obstruction anywhere near.

Yes, just experienced it twice on my recent tow. There was nothing displayed anywhere. No navigation on, no overpass anywhere, not overweight.

Mine alerts on school zones, which I get even when not towing. The response time of the alert is very poor, doesn't always have something displayed, and is not helpful. I'll turn it off.

My old Garmin flashes low bridge, with a bridge icon, railroad with a track icon
And it's 7 years old

I don’t have Ford navigation (don’t pay for it). The gong is kind of meaningless if you don’t know what it’s for.
Trailer routing alerts that are meaningful to me do show up. More importantly, it routes around them.

When towing, mine dings when I turn onto a back road with a weight restriction, and then again at the bridge or feature that causes the weight restriction. Since I usually have Android Auto/Waze on the screen, it took a long while to figure out that Ford navigation was looking out for me in the background.

Mine was going off while towing a utility trailer.... Which was lower than my truck...

When setting up a trailers, I had to enter the length and width. Why did they not include a height measurement to avoid the chime going off unnecessarily?

Meaningless and annoying since if your trial is over you can't go into the Nav settings to disable it.

I have the same chime and yes, it is a height warning that shows up at the top of the center main display. I flashes pretty quick and disappears.
