Car Play, Voice command Siri 'Send text to "group Name" ' is no longer recognized!

Since I had my truck and synced my IPhone to it I been able to say "Text: Family"

And I would get what do you "want to say"?

I dictate the message it would be read back and be asked "Send it"?

All of a sudden it stopped working, I would be asked "what do you want to say to your wife"?

I finally realized tonight when it changed to "what do you want to say to your daughter" and reading a similar issue on a Tesla site, that it was pulling up the last person in the group that sent a message to the group.
Tonight that was my daughter. It is not pulling up the whole group.

If I tried it on my phone in the house and ask SIri to text "Family" there is no issue.

So anyone else having this issue, that is, it was working now it is not? Any suggestions what to check?

One thing I read was on the IPhone go to setting/siri&search/contacts: then toggle on all option there. But I do not see anything called " Contacts" in the list.

I’ve never been able to get a group text by group name to work right on CarPlay. It didn’t work on my 2018 F150 with an aftermarket CarPlay capable Sony head unit, 2016 Mazda6 with stock CarPlay, 2023 Subaru Crosstrek with stock CarPlay or 2023 f150 with stock CarPlay.

I have found that saying “send a message to Isaac, Mari and Shannon” will send a group message to all 3.

what is weird is it was working then it stopped and did as I described above. Since it stopped I been able to have the group name recognized once and a message sent.
