Tried using my truck to electric start my snowblower. It never used more than 360 watts and didn't spin the electric motor up fast enough to kick the gear out and turn over. When I plugged into a 15A outlet it fired right up. My killawatt never showed over 1600watts.

2021 XLT 5.0 2KW PP Onboard
Outlet was on and generator mode was confirmed on. (1200W heatgun worked fine)

I have the 2kW ProPower as well, and have done some testing on it.

The 2kW inverter is not a high quality piece. After you get over 1000 watts, voltage starts to drop off dramatically. at 1900 watts it is only putting out 104 volts AC.

On top of that, the system is setup with an instantaneous trip around 2000 watts, so anything that has a start up/inrush current greater than 20 amps it won't even try to start it, it just kicks out. Plus, the ProPower metering is like a $2 multimeter from Harbor Freight, it has a good 3+ second delay, so you will never see any current surge/spikes.

In my opinion Ford should have advertised this as 1.5 kW not a 2 kW.

Is there any way to upgrade the inverter while still maintaining the integration with the truck?
