Canadian Vehicles Ordered/Delays/Delivery Dates

I am in Ontario ordered my 2021 Lariat 502A from Markville Ford on December 9th 2020. No VIN # yet. Is there anyone else from the GTA that placed an order around the same time if so have you gotten any updates on your truck VIN#?

I ordered from Uxbridge Ford Dec 18th, got my VIN on Friday with a build date Feb 15th. Lariat 501 on order.

I ordered mine at the same dealer a day after you. I haven't got any update yet which is kinda annoying but I get it.

Holy Molly that is fast I have read on this site that larger dealerships get there orders pulled/built first. Well good luck hope your receive your new truck before the end of February.

Question 1: Does Ford contact you or the dealer?
Question 2: Purchased from the highest volume dealer in the country does that mean it may come sooner?

I don't know about that. I'm in a small city (just over 100k) and ordered from the smaller Ford dealership (there's 2) on Jan 11 and received my VIN Jan 15 with a build date of Feb 24.

Answer 1: Ford will not contact you. Your dealership should. If not, it's okay to call them at least once a week for status/updates.
Answer 2: Several factors could impact speed of build/delivery, such as the priority # your dealership assigns and if they have allotments, and/or if there are any parts shortages.

I know right. I called last week asked my salesman if they had the VIN # yet for my truck? Was informed that Ford updated the dealer that production is slow because of COVID-19 it will be 3 to 4 months from now to receive the new 2021 truck orders.

I noticed you ordered the 2021 Lariat with 501A package mine is the same but 502A so maybe they have stock in your package but not mine. I understand that Ford is having supply problems from certain suppliers with there parts production.

Mine is a 502A too. When ordering the dealer said there were issues with the bed liner option and under seat storage, so I removed the bed liner (the dealership will do it) but kept the under seat storage.

My order was straight forward Lariat with the 502A package chrome bumper 2.7 litre engine with the 18 inch wheels. So no upgrades or changes.
