Lots of talk on here about great American dealers that offer excelling pricing on extended warranty.

Any similar dealers in Canada?

Thanks

NOPE. there was one in Ontario that sells online but was still almost double of what I got in the U.S.
As a Canadian you were able to buy a warranty for your truck in the US?

Yes, as long as you have a friend, family member, etc, in the US to use their address, you can get it for so much less. I used Lombard and it was completely painless and easy process. Oasis had it recorded in an hour after I paid for it. Got an 8yr premium care 100k MILE, 100 deductible, including all lighting for less than 1/2 of what any local Edmonton dealer would offer me. I showed dealer and he said it was less than their cost.

Damn. Too bad I don't know anyone in the US.
Good score for you though!

I know people in Canada that have used Walmart adresses............. They don't check, just get them to mail your documents to your Canadian Address, or email them is better. I own 1/2 of an Alpaca farm in Indiana so that worked for me. Don't ask, got drunk at the Indy500 and a friend sold me 1/2 of her farm, lol.

Can this be used as just a US address?
Well I have a (free) account there and can send packages there when buying from US-only e-commerce sites. Then I can either ask them (for a fee) to "Push It North" where they broker it up or I can drive down to cross the border (~20-25 minutes) to pick up the package myself. I imagine the same would work if you received mail there.

As for whether or not it can be used as a legal address? That's probably debatable... that's not actually where you live, but neither is a friend's address (if you had an American friend).

I did read through some Ford ESP details (the fine print) and they say that repairs can be made anywhere in US and Canada for any vehicle manufactured in US and Canada. It doesn't say anything about making sure you buy it from your home country.

Fine print: I'm not a lawyer.

Maybe talk to your Ford "finance person" (a.k.a the person who sells ESPs) and mention that you're considering buying from the states unless they give you cost + 5% or come much closer to the price offered in the US - or something similar. I intend on taking that route before I buy from a U.S. dealer.

I have had a US ESP plan on my last 2 F-150's and never had any issue with service, Nobody ever checks for addresses or anything.

great thanks - you ever do the maintenance packages too?
I bowed out of the maintenance. I was told by a guy who sells them that unless you're going to be needing lots of brakes, they're not worth it.

So, if your style of driving (heavy towing, lead foot, etc.) makes it that you think you'll go through lots of brakes, then it might be worth it - otherwise it's just paying LOTS up front (and for some, financed) for something that you could pay-as-you-go.

fair enough - good to know. I think I'm going to get the warranty ESP - a little nervous about the powerboost.

Keep in mind the PB components are (almost) all in the 8yr 100K umbrella... I'm more worried about EVERYTHING else (the beautiful 12" screen, all the little shiny buttons everywhere) :)

I've done both the Warranty & Maintenance on my last 2 trucks. Used US address and bought through https://www.floodfordesp.com/ and have never had an issue. Feels great to just hand your keys over to the dealer and make everything their problem for 160,000km. :)
