Canadian costs for Extended Warranty?

I have an 8 year, 100K Mile, premium care, 100 deductible, including headlights (they aren't on the standard warranty) on my 2021 Lariat. I got it from the US for 2200 Canadian. Dealer here was over double what I paid. You have to have a US address to use (friend, relative, etc). Mine showed up in Oasis an hour after I bought it and is good all throughout North America.

Thanks. Did your warranty show up in Fordpass or it was only seen at the dealership when you went in for issues.

If you change your address in the Ford Pass app to a US address it shows up, you cannot have both a US and a Canadian address - you need to pick one or the other though.

I have been wondering, however, if I could just call Ford Protect and ask them to change my address to Canada. Anyone tried that after you get the contract in place?

I've heard on other forums that you cannot change the address to anywhere outside the US.

Also a Canuck here. I've reached out to a couple of dealers that mention ESP sales online, but have had zero or limited response from them. If I don't have a US address, what's the best way to shop around if online isn't working and the local dealerships are limited?

2022 PB XLT 302a, sunroof, 360 cameras, basically all the tech stuff haha. I really want to make sure I don't set myself up for tech breakdowns or sunroof leaks in the future, but don't have any sense of what to target as a goal price or service level when my local dealer inevitably brings it up.

Any insight would be much appreciated!

Sad time to be a Canuck. Since you live in Vancouver, you should be able to get one of the border addresses which people use for getting packages from the US. I've heard on other forums of people using that as the US address.

For options in Canada, I emailed Mainland ford in Surrey and they came out with the best quote. Petrieford in Kingston, ON was next, however they both were double of what I was getting in the US.

Most people opt for PremiumCare package with $100 deductible. Check up Granger Ford or flood ford online and you will get the quote for what it is in the US. Canada will usually be double that.

Don't believe the first quote they give you in Canada. Tell them your dealership is giving you a much better price and see if they come down. You'll be surprised by how much they are willing to come down. $700-900 easily in some cases. But final price was always at least double of US even after the exchange rate.
