Only 22 and up are missing active park assist. All 21 have it that should have it, meaning they didn’t delete it on 21 models
If it helps you narrow it down, I have BlueCruise, but Park Assist was deleted. VIN 1FTFW1CD7NFB52035

Yes sir.

@erixgix
The removal of that trim panel is easier than you might fear it to be. Just take your time and use tugging logic at the clips.

Here's a picture farther away

Then I’m lost as to why they cut park assist. You have everything. The side sensors the front bliss. I really don’t know what ford is doing at this point

I had one of the very first park assist deletes. I remember when folks were predicting that the truck would be missing multiple components that are associated with the feature. But when the truck was delivered and had the 6 bumper sensors, those side sensors, and the front camera auto trigger along with warning zones, I too wondered what is actually missing?

Perhaps the software is gimped unnecessarily, in preparation for expecting the truck NOT having all the hardware?

I wonder if mine has all the sensors too? You would think you could add something to make park assist work? Maybe Ford dosnt want it working for safty reasons?

I'm just guessing, but.....

The build process is a HUGE and complex just-in-time procedure and ANY deviation from the norm is difficult to implement.

So using Park Assist as an example, if just one of the many components is potentially going to force a delete, it isn't as simple as just building the truck with a missing component. That would very likely trigger codes that would have to be eliminated from the code that is present in possibly multiple modules?

So the software would have to be massaged to accommodate a "partially" missing feature? After all, many components/modules are shared with other features other than Park Assist.

So then the truck gets built and it turns out there's no components missing, but since it was possible that there was going to be a missing component, the software was edited out?

Again, just pondering. When Jesse is scratching his head, you KNOW something unexpected is going on. :)

I wouldn’t. These guys are all full of shit. Ford has specifically stated that there will be no way to add the deleted features back through Ford channels.

If I knew exactly what was missing I could more easiest what needs to be done. I’ll look for a vin that has it missing. I do believe it’s the front blind spot modules that are missing.

If so those can be added back but I don’t know the wiring is there.

End of day anything can be done.

The 2023 is the one where I think it will be tough.
If you'd like, you can review my VIN as well if it helps. This is the only thing that was stripped from my fully loaded 22' Powerboost ordered end of January, and built/delivered early May.

TUGGING LOGIC!!! 😂

Sorry, that word choice. Do you have it off still? pic of backside? Using a screwdriver to release ‘locking tabs’ is probably the part that gave me more hesitation. secret hidden locking tabs…

what was your build month, April?

With a large series of changes in your case, probably no way v to answer specifically of that park function has specific software to enable? Do you recall any specific changes in software or config to enable?

Hard to believe Ford would pony up $365 for software when fancy seats with lots of missing hardware was only $300

That $300 was a ridiculous compensation, and still makes no sense at all. It's a hard smack in the face to the consumer.

I too, looking back, now am surprised with the Park Assist delete price reduction. At the time I didn't think it was high or low, but considering the multicontour seat deduction it seems crazy. Those seats are worth far more to me than Park Assist.

For some help with tugging logic :)
It opens with how to safely remove that trim piece. But if you are just checking for the sensors existing or not, no need to completely remove.

Jesse beat me to it, but I think you have all the front sensors needed (99% sure) for active park assist. I was just looking it up last night to see exactly what is all involved in the system. It's the six front park sensors, the front two bliss sensors, then the six sensors in the rear, along with bliss tail lights if I recall. My big question is, are you just missing the park assist button above the screen is all?!?! If so, just get the button, make some forscan changes and I think you'd have it.
