Super easy mod and one I was looking forward to. Easy to order and deliver to Canada. If I didn’t stop to take pictures, would have probably taken 5 minutes to install.
As others have said, re-latching was a bear. I almost blamed Buiktright but obviously their device doesn’t affect anything, it’s just a weird design from Ford. I think lifting the bottom seat up about 4-6” then pushing the upper seat back hard might be the secret handshake required, we’ll see.
Overall pleased so far - without the Jack like on the passenger side, it feels like a LOT of room.

Great! Definitely a nice thing about this forum; I’ve learned a lot from others so glad I could pay it forward.

How easy it is to fold/unfold the seat back in place after the installation? I had ordered one (ordered on Amazon) and installed and it was way to difficult to close it back. Note: On Amazon it was showing the builtright logo but the one I received was a freaken copy.....

What I’m finding is lift the seat bottom a couple inches then slam the sheet back. Lift too much or not at all: doesn’t “catch”.
I think it’s just how the latch mechanism is, not an issue with the strap piece. But it may not hurt to confirm the strap “glides” easily or add some grease to its surface so you confirm the strap piece isn’t adding any resistance.

There is a good youtube vid that shows the process you need to go through to get everything realigned after you put this on. It is tougher than it should be, but the vid looks good. The key is getting everything (pins and latches) back to start.

In case anyone wonders what it looks like behind a non-PB SCREW left rear seat, here it is.

I used to like the GM rear seatstorages (I still think they’re nifty and far more convenient) but this definitely has more room,

Crazy Ford is still using that dumb design for a latch. On my 2013 FX4 I used paracord and basically made my own.

I haven't even had the urge to look behind on my 2022. This looks like a better solution than my old paracord getup.

For anyone with a PB. Is there enough space behind the seats to take the headrests and store them back there. It is a pity they do not fold down and out of the way, but you can remove them completely and open up a lot of view area out the back. I just want to keep them close by in case they are needed.

I installed it today.... did require a tiny bit of bending per their youtube video.

Lesson learned... if you fold the seat bench up, it is easier to reach behind the seatback. After using the wrench to unlatch the seatback, don't forget to pull up the strap to unlock the seat bench. I spent 5 minutes messing with the seat latch when it was the locking seat that was the problem. :geek:
