Break in oil

Drained the factory fill at 1500 miles.

Blackstone analysis verified it was a new engine with elevated copper and silicone.

But what really caught my eye is that the viscosity tested near 20W although there was no fuel dilution. Just reporting what it tested at. Not making claims.

Just checked my brand new 23 5.0 oil and it is a full quart low on the dipstick which is kind of concerning but i’m just going to go ahead and check the oil and see how it goes!

It is not unusual to have low fluids in a new vehicle. The prep person is supposed to top everything off but this is seldom done. I check the oil and the ATF level and have the dealer add more if there is a problem before I drive away. ATF is often a problem because the prep person is using containers of the fluid and the reservoir may take more than an even number of containers. Same with oil where it takes 7.75 quarts and I would not be surprised if the prep person put in 7.0 quarts.
