Brand new F150 2024 Powerboost requires a replacement of its Hybrid battery

Just bought a brand new F150 PowerBoost 2024. The car had 50 miles on it. I drove home, and a yellow wrench light came up, and a red vehicle was next to it. I took it to the dealer today, and they told me that the vehicle needs a new hybrid battery. They put me in a Ford Escape loaner. They will get back to me tomorrow with an update. Just my luck.

Anyone with similar issues?

I am a first time ford owner and this is my first pickup. What a first impression. I know it’s luck of the draw here but man. How did this get past quality control.

2024 XLT PB 3300 miles so far, no issues. Not to be lemonade outta lemons guy (pun intended) but at least it happened early on. Gotta hope it's out of the way and you can get back to enjoying it soon.

More like I left the dealer after I dropped it off and they called me in like 15 minutes to tell me the battery is bad. Wonder if they just read the code and don’t actually know the true cause.

Yeah, I figured loaners were a thing of the past!

Sucks the hybrid pack was basically DOA. Hopefully the replacement will give you years of reliable usage.

Many dealers still have service loaners, but are basically in-house rentals that Ford "covers" once the diagnosis determines the issue is warranty related. The dealer will put a $50 hold on a card and as long as you bring it back with a full tank, no damages, and don't rack up a ton in toll charges you get it back in about a week after returning the "loaner."

I got mine 2024 PB in August and drove it from Delaware to TX and back to pick up an RV. I have little over 11,000 miles on it, so far no problems. Very happy with it but sorry that you're having this experience.
