Today I was driving around town with my two kids when the instrument panel lite up, and my brake pedal went spongy then stiff. The ABS light, Traction control light, Hill assist and Parking brake light turned on. The messages on the screen were “ service advanced track, hill assist disabled, collision assist disabled and a few more. It almost seems like the truck went into limp mode.
The brakes themselves were very spongy and would lock up if too much ( very little) pressure was applied.
I kid you not, this happened right in front of the dealer I bought the truck from. I pulled into service, was written up, both car seats in a used car and dropped off at my house in no time.
Dealer is going to keep the car and see what the heck is going on. I am just glad nothing major happened with both my boys in the back seat.
I can not say enough good about how the dealer handled it and got me and the kids home. Top Notch job by Ford!
These type of thing happen, its why we have warranty’s. I am glad it happened in front of the dealer and not on my commute to work in Detroit or on the freeway going up north.
I will keep this thread posted .
