I would like to focus this Discussion on a Specific group of members that have upgraded to Bluecruise 1.4 through FDRS.

I encourage memebers to safely explain the graphics they see while using any of the new features of Bluecruise 1.4

Please join me in congratulating Ford for knocked it out of the park with the lattest Bluecruise 1.4 upgrade !

The Three major features that Ford added:

1) Lane Change assist

This feature works by gently pressing the blinker either left or right, You will then receive a graphic on the screen telling you that it is preparing the lane change.
I love how smooth it takes charge and how well it has been implemented.

2) Predictive Speed assist

This feature adds curved arrow inside the speed limit circle and it will gradually slow you down for curves and then gradually speed you up after the curve.
It also has the ability to slow you down shortly before the speed limit changes

3) In lane repositioning

This feature has the ability to automatically move your truck either left or right of the center of the lane in order to allow extra room between lanes when large Semi trucks and other large vehicles come near your lane.

I personally have not seen this feature work during any of my driving and would like to encourage any feedback from other drivers after they have upgraded !

Bumping this up as I am also curious about the last comment as I couldn’t answer a related question when asked directly.

I “think” the in lane repositioning is working for me and never thought much about it until asked. There is nothing happening that makes it obvious it is working though. Videos/pictures of it working on a MachE seem to show an indication it is happening, not that it means much as many things look different on the MachE

I have a 2024 XLT 302a which has Blue Cruise 1.4 since I picked it up in November. The lane change assist is hit or miss. If you are using BC with or without hands-free and you signal to change left or right, even if the area is clear of vehicles, it does not always change you, it could sit for up to 20-30 seconds and sometimes not change you at all. If you force the wheel while it is in that mode, it will chime, turn off lane centering and the wheel will vibrate. When I have passengers who are sleeping, if I need to change lanes and it doesn't change for me, I will disengage BC, change lanes, and turn it back on, or else the chime will wake them.

Other than that, the lane centering, the moving slight left or right when passing or being passed works well.

If you have your speed set and you slow lower because of traffic, if the car notices you can change lanes, it will visibly show you the option, but it will not automatically take action. I'm glad it doesn't because a few times in the right lane about to get off at an exit, the last thing I'd want is my car changing lanes to the left when I am about to take a right exit.

I have a question regarding the in lane repositioning ? When it does the repositioning what do you see on the DASH indicating it is doing something ? Are there Any arrows or messages on the displayed indicating the shift in the lane ?
what trim level and model year is your F150 ? Did you ugrade with FDRS or receive any OTA upgrades ?

Nothing on the dash, when it repositions, is almost unnoticeable, but keep an eye on the lines on the road, and you will notice; also, when it comes out of that event, you can feel the truck re-center. I did FDRS update 2021 Platinum

I have a 2024 XLT 302a, have not done any upgrades.

When you are lane centered, you will see the graphic with two blue vertical bars on either side of the vehicle, when it repositions you to the left, it will make the left blue line thinner and the right blue line thicker.

I don't have BC but my truck has had PSA and In-Lane Repositioning for a little while now. It's definitely been nice. ILR works decently well to automatically give me some space when I'm driving which I like more than the curve slowing

I haven't noticed that , but in my defense each time I look at the display the truck goes crazy telling me to look up LOL

I think I have BC 1.4. I updated thru FDRS to Sync 24127 and did all the Forscan changes (I triple checked this) The BC works great, even on twists and turns that normally it couldn't do but I do not have the option for Lane Change Assist but do for Predictive Speed. I do not currently have a BC subscription.

This feature has the ability to automatically move your truck either left or right of the center of the lane in order to allow extra room between lanes when large Semi trucks and other large vehicles come near your lane.
More importantly, when you're on a grade and a semi cuts you off doing 37mph to pass another one going 36, can it automatically launch missiles?

🤔 🤪

When it does the repositioning what do you see on the DASH indicating it is doing something ?
And does the wheel turn in your hand as it adjusts?

If you have lane assist visible on dash screen, you see a wide bar on either side of the vehicle displayed. If your truck moves over, you will see the animated truck move over and that corresponding bar narrows.

My BC 1.4 works like you say except my display doesn't show the wider blue line in your picture.
2021 F150 Platinum.
I get narrow blue lines with a blue circle around the vehicle when everything is right weather in BC zone or not.

Does the vehicle shift left or right of center when you have a lage oversized vehicle in the lane next to you ?
