Has anyone had the issue of BC1.4 not working while raining? Mine yesterday stopped working on the freeway I use all the time, the only difference was it was raining but not bad enough to really change visibility.
That can happen. If there was a little water in the road, and glare can cause the camera to lose the lines enough that it won't enable. Similar to driving at dusk/dawn going towards the sun.

Seema like BC 1.0 wasn't as sensitive. WA has a lot of rain and never had the issue before unless it was POURING rain.

I have noticed similar in 1.4. I have seen circumstances where it is normally stays in hands-free but different weather/sun drops it back to hands-on with lane centering.

What’s odd in these situations is the lane-centering continues to work fine so it must be seeing the lines.

I'm happy to report that I finally got BC 1.4 working. Thanks to everyone in the ECU and BlueCruise threads, for all the information that I needed, to update everything with FDRS and to @rugedraw who got me over the last hurdle with FORScan changes that I needed to make. Can't thank everyone on this forum enough.

I have a 2021 Lariat with BC 1.1 and was curious if anyone else has successfully upgraded to BC 1.4 using the Mongoose cable. I borrowed the cable from @rugedraw last year to upgrade from 1.0 to 1.1 and it was totally worth it. Is BC 1.4 restricted to only newer F150s?

1.1 never existed. If you updated last year, you already have the 1.4 software. Maybe it's the older IPMA software for 1.4, but it is 1.4 nevertheless.

I can't have 1.4, it doesn't lane change or try to avoid large vehicles by shifting. Is there a way I can verify what version I have?

Oh you have it. I already checked. You just need FORScan to enable it.

No way! Wish I had asked this question last year haha. I have my own ForScan cable so I'll research it tonight and let ya know how it goes. Thanks again Rugedraw

Well, I still can't get 1.4 to install. The mothership representative said it was a battery issue, but I'm pretty certain that is not the case. There is something else going on. I will give it one more try when the LFP battery arrives, and then I will be out of ideas.

What are the chances of a dealer helping with this (hahaha)?

Last time it failed, the battery was reporting 88% SoC and capacity was at 72, which are both good. Just keep trying it. The next time you take it for a drive, try installing manually as soon as you park it. It'll take an hour to install, so make sure you don't need the truck right away.

It went through today! Haven't had a chance to take it on the highway to notice the differences, but I am glad it was finally installed. The stars must have been aligned today...

After applying the additional Forscan programming, I successfully have the newest 1.4 features. I love the lane changing and improved lane centering. One thing that doesn't feel right is when I'm using cruise with lane keep on back roads and a sharp turn approaches, my truck slows wayyyy down too early and then right before the sharp turn it speeds back up to the original (fast) speed which is dangerous around the turn. It seems like it's programmed to slow down too soon. HIGHWAYS WHEN BC IS ACTIVE ARE PERFECT SO FAR. I almost would rather the sharp turn feature be turned off unless BC is active...anyone else experience this too?
