It is happening OTA
My 24 XLT has updated to 1.4
Your truck came with 1.2 from the factory so it wasn't much of an update to go beyond that. There's trucks getting 1.4 files but not the variable changes to use it

2024 GMC Denali Ultimate, 2017 MKZ
And another 2021 Mach E bricked yesterday from the 1.3 OTA.
And yeah, that, combined with the never ending electrical gremlins, is why I traded in my 2023 Limited PB for a GMC Denali Ultimate. No updates on the Denali since new and Supercruise still works better than Blue Cruise 1.0/1.3/1.4. Just got tired of waiting for Ford software engineers to get their sh&t together.

Maybe, sometime in the future I will go back to an F-150, but not until Ford can get the OTA/software out of the beta release process.

However, did love the comfortable seats and the wonderful power running boards on the Limited.

Edit: This morning I got a notification that my GMC installed an OTA update. For what... no idea. Still trying to find the GMC equivalent to FDRS. Already know that the Ford Mongoose is, not surprisingly, only for a Ford. LOL

when did this happen for you? Are you an “early” adopter? A prince of a small country? Last name Ford? lol.
I really have no idea. I rarely use it. There are no roads that allow it here locally. I only use it when we go to Indy or Fort Wayne….ie interstates.

I had actually let it lapse. Have a 1200m trip coming soon up to Minnesota. So I renewed the monthly subscription. Last weekend had a trip to Indy. All the new features of 1.4 were available

Ok……so it may just still be using 1.2?
It’s a heck of a lot better than it was a few months ago. Very stable, none of the “ping pong” effect it had. The lane repositioning actually works

That's just the software stack itself. They keep improving the underlying code itself. 1.4 isn't really even 1.4 any longer. Publicly we're technically in 1.4.3 code stack at least, forscan variables dictate what features it has if they haven't turned them on already. We've seen ACJ, BBA, and BBC based solely on what I've seen.

To add to the confusion, 2024 trucks are shipping with BAE IPMA software and the are calling it 1.2, but the Mach E is getting BAE with the OTA for 1.3. Go figure.

I was cursing that OTA the other day slowing down for every baby bend in the road. Forscan'd it out as soon as I got back. That is just insane logic

Maybe because of the renewal you got it? 🤔. I bought the truck a year used and it had it on there until March of 26. Maybe that’s why they’re trying to get me to pay on the app now.

Is it possible that the new ipma software is more sensitive to the camera and cable condition?
I have a old ipma that calibrates. It's on old updates.
Dealer has tried three ipma's with current software and it rejects the vison camera.

Dealer got ford's engineers involved. Instead of following the service bulletin where the cables are replaced first then camera they refuse to do the cables. They keep throwing ipmas at it.
They say the old ipma worked so there is now problem with the cables.
Two things they are overlooking.
New software has stricter requirements for camera condition and dodgy cables are not passing now.
Or when the ipmas keep getting replaced they are screwing up the cable.

I would replace the cables myself but I need help determining the first and second cable number. The second goes from the c900 connector in the a pillar down to the ipma. There are 3 based on feature code. For the second part and two possible cables from the camera to the c900. I dont know how to determine my feature set. It's 4 letters.
The cable from the dash camera comprises of two cables. One from the camera to c900 then from c900 down to c242f on the ipma. One possible cable has a jumper from the c242 to a connector right next to it that goes to the apim. The other possible cable also has a jumper that needs routed through the firewall that pins in to a connector sitting on the rear firewall.

SB 23-2146

If someone could help you will need my vin. Is it wise to post vins?

End result i want to jump from the camera to the currently installed ipma draped over my dash. If it works in resolving this 3 month ordeal I want to see their faces when I bring it back in and say I fuukng told you so.
