Are wheel well liners an issue? I removed the BAP, but added liners.
There was general consensus over the summer that wheel well liners and spray in bed liner were cause for at least a few days of delay from the factory.

That, and you can easily get these things taken care of after delivery using Line-X or using Husky brand accessories.

Basically, minimize factory involvement as much as possible to speed things up :)

I will probably also drop the BAP in my order, but am waiting for the '22 Ford website to go live so I can see the interior colors. If Lariat Atlas Blue gets the ugly black & red sport interior that Velocity Blue had, then I'll want to change my paint color too. The only reason I ordered the BAP was to get around the interior color.
Do we know when the Ford website will be updated?

Everyone seems to be removing the BAP. what is the best way to get exactly what is happening, what is causing the delay and how many months are we talking here?
According to a Ford conference call with dealers, they're expected to begin building late Q2 (scheduling the build, or actually building, idk), so it's safe to assume your looking at getting it mid to late summer.

When dealers go in to place an order, this is what they see when they select the BAP:

But is that all BAP or is it only limited to XLT?

Found these photos that shed a little more light on the Black Appearance Package for the 2022 model year:

Where are those pictures from? The last white one looks like a platinum, isn’t it??
Found them on a F-150 community on Facebook.

I’m not certain on the Lariat/Platinum. I would lean towards Lariat, though, because of the body colored mirrors and bumper. The running boards also appear to be the Lariat style ones, at least for the 2021 model year.

Anyone know when this goes live on the Ford website so we can build it with this package?
I don't know why Ford is dragging there feet on the 2022 build & price guide. Ram has there build & price guide for the 2022 Ram 1500 already posted. Plus you can build & price a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado.

I, too, reluctantly gave up on it. I also removed wheel well liners, spray in bed liner and added auto start/stop to try to speed things up. Optimistically hoping to get scheduled in the next week or two considering I'm priority 10 and ordered a 2.7 (allegedly quick scheduling for that motor).
Are you scheduled yet? I ordered on 10/30, removed the BAP on Monday, and just got notification this morning that I'm scheduled for a build the week of 12/20.

I should add this to the list...
