At3 is what I run. About 12k on them and still quiet. I rotate every 5 and keep them aired up around 50-55psi.

I've had both (not on an F-150) on 1/2 ton trucks. If/when I'm in the market to replace the stock tires I am going to go with AT3s.

Whats your biggest reason why?

Both are great tires, but the AT3 is a little bit softer, had better longevity, and better handling on wet roads. KO2s are great, but over time as they took wear I felt that they lacked on wet pavement. Given the KO2 is stiffer, has less void area between treads so they will be noisier. KO2 excels in dry conditions.

Thanks for the info! I would think the softer rubber on the AT3 would wear faster, but maybe not?

Softer might be speculative on my part - sorry. Ultimately less of the tread surface of the AT3 makes contact vs the KO2, so as such you have less resistance, and better life. IMO the AT3s felt like they rode softer than my KO2s. Of course these were different trucks and different suspension setups. I think KO2 will perform a bit better in snow and on dry pavement, AT3 will have better wet performance and longevity. YMMV.

I also want to give a vote to cooper XLT A3 tire. Buddy just put some on his Suoer duty , what a nice quiet ride.

I’m the exact same way. I need to make a decision soon. Everyone seems to like the AT3, however many reviews on Toyos site don’t say the same. The BFG’s have always done me well, so I’m leaning that direction... Im a creature of habit, but it may be nice to try something else. Another but I just found out…in my size, the BFG’s are 69lbs….AT3 are 60…..so does that mean worse mileage, and or are the AT3‘s light duty?
9 pounds per tire is a big difference. That's 15%. I had some bad luck with the AT2's but may be trying out the 3's if the weight is that much less.

I will probably ditch the stock Hankooks after the summer. I’ll go with 285/60/20 which is to me, the perfect upsize - I tend to like the “factory +” look - improved but not obvious.

I’ve pretty much narrowed it down to BFG KO2 or Toyo AT3. I want an aggressive look but spend a good bit of time on the highway so road noise is a consideration. I had BFG on my last truck and didn’t think they were that much louder than a street tire.

Anyone who’s driven either or BOTH please weigh in! Convince us why YOUR pick is the best! 😄
i know BFG will only come in D rated at that’s size meaning stiffer ride due to much heavier tire. Also, worse mpg and performance. Unsprung weight is the worst kind of weight. I put on Nitto Recon Graplers 275/65/20 on my 22’ stock height platinum 4x4. They where only 7lbs heavier than stock (per tire), and appear to be the largest tire you can install without level. I plan on leveling mine with an adjustable shock, just unsure what will work with bluecruise and CCD At this point.
