I've been using GC Jetseal and VRP for a while and I think it's been doing okay, but its just crazy expensive. I'm not sure the VRP last that long outside either.

Any good recommendations or tests to reference? I'm mostly concerned about the UV protection being in Colorado and having the truck parked facing the sun.

Ive seen the 303 protectant thrown around, but was under the impression Jetseal was better for the UV protection.

Have never used jetseal but have used both VRP and aerospace protectant. Love the aerospace protectant use it on all plastics inside and out!

Just watched a very interesting test with Jetseal and a UV measurement device. Turns out it basically does nothing for almost 40$.

Hmmm, I have never heard goo things about jetseal. I’m about to apply Adam’s advanced graphene and have been using technicians choice ceramic spray detailer with good results!

I found this stuff late last year and have been blown away with it's performance.

I have tried and used dozens of waxes and coatings over the years and this is by far the best I have found. Last a super long time and really beads the water up.

I found it by watching a you tube video of a man in Texas testing about a dozen different waxes. He had a car hood that he applied and marked off the different applications. He left it out in the sun and would wash it weekly and video the results. After over a year this was still beading the water up very well. They only that compared to it was a 100% ceramic version.

Has 45% actual ceramic infused into the wax, they also have a silver version that has %20 I think it is.

Some good videos on how to apply it, very good idea to use the pre-cleaner to get everything off the paint before applying. You can use it on everything, glass, plastic etc. Really love this stuff.

Nice I’ve heard good things, I’m going to apply the glass bottle version not the spray version. Wish me luck!

If you are talking about the small bottle that is about $100, that one is the pure 100% ceramic coating. Last much longer but has to be applied correctly. Make sure you read up and follow instructions perfectly. The 45% is much more forgiving and easier to apply. just saying Lol

You braver than I

Yes sir, kit ran ~$150. I’m planning to do full paint correction and apply! Thanks

So I did tons of searching and found that everyone who tested these coatings, including the Adams and Jetseal, found pretty much no level of UV protection when using a spectrometer.

Hmmmm.

Also, did a quick rain test on GC VRP. It definitely doesn't last even a one rainfall. It also seems to have ran off the plastic and down the paint. I'm going to try Cerakote trim next and I also picked up their speed ceramic. Both were 16$ at Walmart, so I figured what the heck. I love supporting 2a companies anyway.

I'll try out CGs tire protectant in a few weeks.

I’ve had the same experience with almost all plastic “protectant” products I’ll apply it then let it bake into the plastics while it sits in the sun at work. Then with the first rain or wash some of it comes off.

For the Adam’s I’ve seen mixed reviews about it having UV protection but it has to be better than nothing right? I’m apply it mostly for the hydrophobic and gloss enhancing properties.
