When I bought the truck I had the dealer apply the bed liner. They didn't touch the tailgate stating that they couldn't do it because it'd mess with the sensors. I went by a couple places that apply liners and they also said they can't take off the tailgate due to the sensors but could coat the tailgate but the labor to tape everything off so not to get liner on the truck and just do the small area needing to be done would really be cost prohibitive. Estimates are in the $300 range due to labor.

So.. I figured, what the hell. It's a relatively small area to be done (around the work surface plate) I can tape it off and do it in my driveway but wondered who has used a roll on liner product on here? I could to spray but I figured the roll on method would be easier and less likely to have overspray issues. Especially with a white truck.

I've seen that video. He does do very methodical testing with this.

He has a spray on video around somewhere too.

Based on that video and reading some reviews, I may go the Herculiner route and save several hundred.

It's made by JB-Weld and seems to be a pretty awesome value.
