Just curious what everyone out there is doing, including if home-made, to make the utility of their truck bed the most useful it can be.

I’m personally not interested in things like Decked so mostly looking for what people have done with dividers, bed side molle system (eg. built right industries, Putco, etc.), and similar solutions.

I’m planning on a Retrax Pro XR cover so will be limited by what can fit with space left given the space the cassette takes up.

Looking forward to hearing about all the creative things others are doing and as always a picture is always worth a thousand words!

This is my truck, let me know what you think.

For 15 years I hade the simple 2x6 slid into the slots in the bed of my 2006 F150. After getting my new 2021 home from the dealer I realized that the power outlet in the bed left me without the slots for my 2x6. After researching aftermarket options and thinking it over I think I came up with a good solution. I ordered some aluminum u-channel and some stainless self-tapping screws and put brackets on either side so I had something to hold a divider/piece of wood. Think I may leave them in place when I get the spray in liner done so it looks more finished.

Mind shearing where you got the u-channel? Was it rounded like that or did you just to fit?

So I was looking at the truck to see about adding the u-channel and I noticed some what I think are mounting guide points embossed in side wall. Anyone know what might mount there? It's about the same spacing as the boxlink brackets

Not mounting points….. if you look from underneath you will see they are spot welds for a channel gusset behind that adds strength to that panel. As such keep your screws to the inside of those since the channel behind can interfere with your screws.

I got my bed liner sprayed in last week and got my BuiltRight bedrack panels today and started putting them in. I found a set of brackets used on boat trailers for rollers that are perfect for 2x8. I mounted them on the side bedracks. I think they will work great....just got to do the other side. Builtright sent me 2 left side vs a left and a right, lol

How do you like the built right racks? I love the idea but am not sold yet on the practicality. Have you attached anything to them yet? They really look great, that’s for sure! Thanks!

I like the racks, did not love the price, lol. But they work great and are nice to mount things to but the best is for place to hook bungies or straps to. I have a small shovel and a pole hook ( to reach item at front of bed- left over from old truck) mounted on mine. Photo today after I unloaded
some stuff. The board is great for keeping coolers, boxes, LP tanks... from moving much and then just strap to rack

Harbor freight has adjustable cargo dividers for like $25. Works perfect for me. You just put it where you want and ratchet it tight. Sorry about bad pics. These were not taken for this I just had them so Ik where to set it at for my tools.
