Installed mine a month or so ago. Longest time is just making all the cuts and trimming some backing to get thr switch and lights to click back in.

Very clean install. I like this much better than just cutting holes for access. Any special tips for trimming the backing to allow the lights and switch to snap back in? Was it difficult to get right?

Just to add my 2¢ ... I have Line-X and got a Bed Rug mat and LOVE IT. It's odd that the mat for trucks with a spray-in liner is a bit more expensive, but still 100% worth it!

I also have the Ford bed extender which still works fine... I just had to remove the spacers totally from the bottom (when it's rotated back into the bed of the truck).

Successfully accomplished the install using the inspiration and tips here. Highly recommend pulling the taillights off; it was easy and made removing the LED switch and lights simple. The Pro Power panel was just the four bolts and guide pins; the power panel can be done without pulling the taillight.

In the daylight my install looks just like Bdubbs1198. The only difference is I have the Classic Bedliner instead of the Impact Bedliner. I'm glad I was able to catch the sale last week and purchase it directly from BedRug for $395. Looks like that sale is over now.

Your install looks great. I paid the dealer to do mine and they butchered it but are claiming that it’s correct. Are you, or anybody else willing to take some pictures compared to mine below so I can show them how they screwed up and try to get them to fix it? I’d truly appreciate someone helping me here please.

Yes I agree. Problem is that I purchased through ford accessories site so I couldn’t hold money back and the dealer said it’s correct. Hence I need good pictures. I’m pissed to put it mildly but need the proper info to fight back.

Your Ford dealer installed it in accordance with the BedRug installation manual. In some ways they chosed OPTION A, the Lazy way.

1 Tailgate down side of bed not attached

• It is installed in accordance with the install manual. The BedRug instruction manual shows 3 pieces of velcro at the same locations as yours. See Page 3 Figure 5-3. FYI, I added additional pieces for my install after taking the pictures in the install I posted. You can make that look better yourself - just add more velcro.

2 led light

• This too is in accordance with the install manual. However, they choose to install in accordance with Page 5 Paragraph 7.A instead of 7.B. In my opinion, the installer decided it was too much work to make the LED light and switch look better. They would have had to remove the taillight to remove the switch and LED to install it in accordance with paragraph 7.B. This could have added another 30 minutes of work easy...that's probably why they skipped it. You should nicely request that they install the LED light and switch on top - they may accommodate you to prove that they take pride in their work. If they don't take care of it, I recommend telling them you don't think they take pride in their work and will not use them in the future.

3 tailgate up, rug shouldn’t be bunched

• Mine bunches up similar to that too. Not sure how to avoid it.

4 top corner where tonneau meets Bedrug

• What is the concern here? Velcro?

5 rear tie down.

• Like the LED light and switch, there are two options (Page 5 - Fig 7A or 7B), cut a slit and slip the tie down through or unbolt it and attach it to the top. FYI, I unbolted mine like Fig 7B and I'm happy with the way I did it, but in hindsight I'd be okay with option A. By installing on top, you are going to add another 20 minutes of work easy.

WOW it looks as if the dealer would take more pride in there work. The wrinkles and alignment are bad. If the did a job that shoddy, if you ask them to redo it they will really do an awful job.I think I'd take it to a custom shop and have them redo it ,even if it cost you a buck or two. Tha would drive me CRAZY

That's why I just do things myself.... Can't trust others to do it to the expectation I have for myself

I think my only mistake was I trimmed away a little too much on one LED, other side is perfect.

It might be worth it to reach out to Bed Rug directly as well. I suspect they will agree that it is crapy installation at best! They may be able to help you out
