Leaning towards aftermarket versus factory option of $595.
How much does Line-X cost? Are their pro/premium upgrades worth it?
Any other viable options besides Line-X?

Thx

I already reached out to LineX...$599 under the rail and an additional $200 for premium. If you want a premium color, and another $150.

Do it From Factory, I've had from factory, Line-X (both premium and std), and drop-ins. Factory ones are by the far the best, Premium Line-X close second but makes 0 sense if ordering. Plus Line-X often spray over hooks and tie downs depending on location which is dumb.

Guess I could have published the actual quote

To spray the bed of your short bed pickup is $599 under the rail. Long bed trucks run $629

We also offer Line-X Premium which is a topcoat that makes the bedliner a glossy, UV stable finish instead of a matte finish. In standard black it runs an additional $200. For custom colors we have Line-X Xtra developed specifically for Line-X, it is the only UV stable topcoat on the market, starting at $350 (most colors).

Thank you. Is premium worth it?

Didn't the guy from Longview video say that Ford was having problems with the spray in and 'could' delay your order?

I'm going with the three-year option...no need for me to worry about if premium is worth it. Base for me ;)

I'm sure it could, but anything could delay a build.

I've had both std and premium. Line-X offers, Std, Premium, Pro or whatever which is like for work trucks, and Platinum which is a mix of Pro and Premium. Premium was much nicer than the std in my experience, and it was like $150 more if I can recall, id go that or all out for platinum.

Interesting… thx for sharing that.

According to this video, the factory is low quality compared to the Line-X.

To be fair my factory liner wasn't Ford, it was Ram, but I do know Ford's Drop-In is absolutely garbage.

This video is from like 8 years ago. Good chance things have changed.

My F150 factory spray in looks and feels the same as the Line-X I had on my 2015 canyon. Time will tell if it holds up or not.

Coverage is definitely different, from what I have seen, on the tailgate, although not enough that it concerns me. The Line-X has more coverage.

I don't load my truck with dirt or mulch so i just went with the rubber bed mat from ford. works perfect for me and was cheap something like 200 bucks

Reach out to the local Line-X shop for pricing. I got the premium liner about a week after I got my truck and my pricing was different than anything posted here. Pricing also changed from when I originally got a quote after ordering to when I took delivery.
