Granted I agree this is stupid to remove, but what I find funny is the auto start stop removal is a $50 credit, and this is a $175 credit. The resolution on that camera looks like it's being filmed through a potatoe. I bet they are saving like $3 by not putting it in. So why take it out?

Still happy to have the potatoe cam over no bed cam at all.
preserve on the microchips

Yikes....the 23s are definitely going to be the bastards of the 14th gen.
That is the 75th year edition too. You would think this would get more tech installed. Maybe the shortages hit them so hard that the engineers are going overboard looking for savings. Pity really.

That’s a bummer. Mine had Sirius and Nav deleted (not a big deal) but also Auto Stop/Start deleted (which I’d like, I’m probsbly the only guy who wants it and it got deleted, haha!)

I do like the bed camera; only used it a few times but it was useful. I also like that it can operate while driving (unlike rear-view, I think).
Yes, this is a bummer too. Lack of a proper digital rearview camera forces you to use the bed cam in a pinch. Sadly even this is no good if you have your back loaded up high.

I found this as a way to improve that terrible bed camera. Not cheap for a niche gain, but it looks significantly better and an easy install.

It gets worse I see, I thought the 22' where stripped, it is sad when my 21 came with more options and my 22 with less options but my 22 MSRP was higher and now most of the MY23 going to be even more stripped with an even higher MSRP. I use the bed camera every now and then but I think the missing temp display in the climate control knobs make it look cheaper. I still look at the knob in my 22 and am like crap, especially after driving my 21 for a day or two. The quality of the video image is not great but you can get the idea of whats going on back there the wide angle is very nice.

I hope you pre-order guys still get your camera

Crazy - I just bought a new brake light camera from EBAY yesterday to add the the 360 setup to my to be built 2023. Guess I did that just in time. But then again I also bought it because I thought it was required for the 360 to not error. Sounds lik there will be a programming change maybe to allow a bed-camera-less 360.

I thought about the same, but would the wire harness and the rest be there to use and program? Is it just the camera that is removed but everything else is still in place?

My guess is that the harness will still be there if you ordered the 360 camera. You will likely just need to add the bed camera and activate it in forscan.

I did see a company that makes a supposed higher resolution bed camera that is a direct replacement, however in the video to me, it looks just as crappy, and it was ridiculously priced at like $175 I think.

Wow. Never thought my ancient 21 would have all kinds of extras that everyone would be trying to add back but here we are. I thought for sure I would be itching for an upgrade for some new features by now.
I feel the same. I bought a 21 September build and have all of the options that are being deleted, except for the auto start/stop which I didn't want anyway. I guess I'll keep the 21 for a little bit longer than I originally thought.

Hmm… well, I hate another delete going onto my order, but can anyone tell me if the bed camera deletion at all effects the 360 degree view functionality?
