Hey All just an FYI, my factory stock battery was about 4 years old now, so I ordered this:

BAGM-49H8-850 AGM 49/H8 850 1062 (Battery) +
Cover Assembly - Battery - Ford (KL3Z-10A687-C) 850 amp. 2021

Got it inspected at dealer today and the new bigger 850cca battery installed. NO ISSUE.
I do not have a powerboost however (Just a pro power 2k) Below is picture of 850cca installed in my 2021 XLT!

(Not my info but the below is correct! - thank you for looking up)

The battery tray for all 2021 F-150's is the same part number. ML3Z-10732-D (including the diesel) and it is 14" x 7" where the battery rests. The hold down is the same for all as well. The battery's that were installed are listed below.

Part number Type Group CCA CA Reserve Capacity Length Width Height Usage
BAGM-48H6-760 AGM 48/H6 760 950 120 10.94 6.89 7.48 up to Lariat low
BAGM-94RH7-800 AGM 94R/H7 800 1000 140 12.4 6.89 7.48 Lariat high and above
BAGM-49H8-850 AGM 49/H8 850 1062 160 13.94 6.89 7.48 Diesel

KL3Z-10A687-C listed on backorder.

I don't think my truck going to leave me stranded but FordPass telling me it's shutdown to conserve battery was a surprise when I walked into work this morning. Heated seats sucking down too much power I guess.

Call your local dealer, they usually have these on the shelf in stock. ;)

I'm allergic to dealers. 🤣

I'll probably order one and see what happens. I will see how long I can get my current battery to last but I can pick up the fancy blanket while running the life out of it.

@Big Dog Daddy did you do changes with Forscan for the larger battery or just the BMS reset?

I made one change in Forscan, I set the SOC from 80% to 90% some people have set there's higher. But it's my understanding that going to high has negative effects on the battery's chemistry in the long term. Put another way, It cooks it!:)

50 = 80%
55 = 85%
5A = 90%
5F = 95%
64 = 100%

EDIT there is no setting for battery size.

Agreed - I got 6 years out of the battery in other ford cars, mostly because Ford has a very good strategy on how to charge them. this was an 03 Marauder aluminum 32v. In new F150- I didn't modify any settings in forscan. Just replaced it with the 850cca

I have a paid Consumer Reports account... These are the best rated batteries as per, them...

The AC Delco has the best CCAs at 900...

Feel free to further research these if you are shopping...

I also wasn’t able to locate the larger insulation jacket when I did my H8 swap, so I just cut my H6 jacket then zip-tied it around the battery. It covers 98% of the battery, working great.

That is the Everstart Platinum H8 battery by the way. The stickers never were on that great so I took them off.

Read about people doing that. It is just to protect from engine heat anyway so on the outside edge a gap shouldn't matter.
Not sure about taking stickers off, would be hard to do warranty claim on it, but I've never needed to do that.

They were peeling off and gathering debris under them. My OCD couldn’t handle it 😂

I’m not worried about a $180 warranty claim either way but all the other stickers are still on it just not the two that were on the top. It’s Walmart and I have the original receipt, they would take it.

When are they gonna come out with a battery that's more powerful at 1/20th the size, or have they?
Thought I read that there are\were batteries the size of a few stacked cell phones that could do the same thing as these 40-60lb anchors?

They exist, I believe.
But I'm not sure our trucks would play nicely with them since they require a much different battery management strategy than the onboard logic uses.

Lithium batteries are a thing but they are ridiculously expensive. Tiny lithium jump start box size of a cellphone can start a vehicle. AGM is cheap tech and it works.
