I assume you are referring to being made in China but I also thought these trucks used an AGM battery, not a lead acid?

They use AGM - some are made in Mexico, China, Vietnam (with Chinese parts), etc. Aftermarket batteries are usually made in America, but can be foreign as well. (batteries must have that small sticker on the top of the battery that show country of origin). I deal with batteries for a living, the modern China/Vietnam AGM batteries are very high quality (if you know the sources) - Mexico can be good too. Main reason, the SE Asian companies have relatively new equipment and processes to make AGM batteries and are usually up to 25%+ less in cost even with shipping!

The motorcraft AGM I bought is made in Germany so unless it’s been over engineered it should be good

I don't mean it as the slight that it usually might sound, but an F150 battery with a Motorcraft label & a Made In China sticker just doesn't mesh in my head.

It may very well be a well made battery, as @PowerBoostSoCal stated is possible, but my dinosaur era brain can't avoid suspecting it being counterfeit.

As far as the Non-spillable Lead Acid labeling goes, I assume that's scientifically accurate description of an AGM?

Without getting into politics but sadly we sold our soul to manufacturing cheapness in China. I’m in the pharmaceutical business and it’s mind blowing how much of our medicine is made in China. Life saving stuff these people are making

i saw it as i was hooking up the charger and didnt remember seeing the sticker on the battery #2
caught me off guard as the cold wind was blowing
this pic is new battery in july of 22
i cant tell where its made

An AGM is lead acid, just different construction.

Yes, it's the same chemistry.

One is acid-starved and one is flooded, but both are lead acid.

That sticker is different then mine, which is all black! It could be a knock off? I don't know ... but it is different ... but I have been told I am different too!! ha ha
