I almost got a truck like yours, but my 67 yr old eyes needed LED lighting so I went for an XLT. Maybe if I had I'd have a truck instead of a 10/31 delivery date lol.

I got the mid level XLT
I wanted a specific interior color and carpet, and the chrome.
the options I ordered were mostly drive train related.
Remote start and step bars are the only things I ordered comfort wise.
XLT 301a, 5.0, 4x4, 8‘ bed SuperCab.
the bigger instrument display and power seat were just perks that came with the trim.

I bought a 21 eclb base model XL 3.5 turbo 4x4 8' bed it didn't come with remote start until I installed the free app on my phone now I have it. I believe it's on every f150. Nobody around here had a regular cab with crank windows and heavy gvwr package which is what I wanted so I settled for the loaded xl, the only long box within 200 miles. My wife likes the bigger cab she can recline and sleep on long trips I'm happy with it.

I just needed a v8 and 4wd. I just bought a 2020 Mustang GT Premium with the Performance Pack as a daily, I didn’t feel I needed all the Luxuries. I’ve had an F250 Lariat, an F450 with the Ultimate Lariat package and a 13 f130 fx2 eco boost with the luxury package. This time I just needed a basic truck to tow my boat and haul my motorcycles

i use my trucks - meaning I haul, tow, put dead animals in the rear (Hunter) and go off road. Sure the lariats and XLTs have some niceties but they are no way worth the upcharge for what you get and they’re too nice to be used as trucks.

An XLT 302a is like 10K more for basically some glorified comfort features. If you can afford it - great - but for my budget And lifestyle I needed a good reliable truck without fluff. Enter the STX

my XLT 301a was not all that pricey
not knowing exactly I got over the base XLT 300a, I was only interested in a couple of things.

Leather wrapped wheel, dual A/C, power seat, keypad on pillar, and standard chrome accents.
worth the. Price to me as I may have this thing over 15-20 yrs.
But I think I bought a unicorn pickup.
SuperCab 8’ box 4x4
takes an acre to get this thin turned around, but sure does ride nice.

I bought a 21 powerboost xl supercrew. U get remote start through the app which is awesome. I had a lariat before this one and I dont regret buying the xl
