The platinum fender badges are more of a black chrome, Lariat, XLT, and STX are gloss black

I must say, the rapid red wasn't even on my radar when I ordered. However, after seeing these pictures (especially the Platinum BAP's), it has moved to #2 for me behind the antimatter blue and my carbonized gray currently sits at #3.
