I ordered mine through backflip. Bought it way in advance of truck- took then 9-1/2 weeks to get it to me. I'd look elsewhere unless you have time
Got mine through RealTruck and paid 915.00

BakFlip are el cheapo inferiority and do have unseating issues galore.

For $100 more get an UNDERCOVER ARMORFLEX. Way better dent and scratchproof surface, no seating/warp over time issues, 3 more years longer on warranty, etc.

Have you owned both products? I'm considering each of them.

Both appear to have the same 5-year warranty.

Just as a data point, the Lomax cover I am getting is $883 on Amazon and the owner at truckalterations.com that offers a discount to forum members (f150forum) is nearly $200 less than that shipped. He sells Bak and many brands. PM to user 'truckalter' over there to inquire about a quote for the one you want after seeing if he has it on their site.

Those of you not getting the armorflex to save 1-2 hundred are nuts. You need to look harder at the products and their durability, outside coating, etc. no brainer.

And BAK and ARMORFLEX have same parent company so this isnt a hate post - it's a logic post.

If you're gonna do it, do it RIGHT.

for the smoothing the opening/closing you could try silicon lubricant on the underneath of the seal that sits on the tailgate.

Does the armour flex not cover the back cab mounted stop light and camera, also can you power close the tailgate with the armour flex in the closed position.

I just don't like the 'pull by wire' latching system on the Bakflip or the Armour Flex. I will likely end up with a Leer HFM650 with the pitch latch system. I don't carry much of value back there, but seems like the Leer is harder to get into.

I'm leaning toward the Leer 650 too. Watching for sale prices....
