I had a wheel bearing go out on my 2021 STX with 24,000 miles, stock wheels and tires no leveling kit etc. My pickup has been in the shop 7 weeks, they still haven’t been able to get me a bearing. I’ve been given 2 off backorder dates, and called Ford directly when I got the 3rd off backorder date. They started a case and claimed that the dealer hadn’t “elevated the claim”, and so that’s why I wasn’t getting parts. Then they said they would call or email me an update in 2 days on when I could expect the parts. 3 days later, no call or email so I called them again. They said they’d have someone “look into it” for me and get back to me.
Has anyone else had this issue? For a wheel bearing to go out with 24,000 miles on it is unusual, but to be waiting 7 weeks for parts with still no estimated time of getting it fixed? Ford won’t pay for any more than 4 days of a rental vehicle. Luckily the dealership had a loaner car for me after my pickup having been there for 3 weeks already. Anyone else had a similar experience?
