Really craved that good V8 sound, but didn't want to spend $1k+ for it. B2 Fab seemed like the perfect quality/budget option. The store specifically lists incompatibility with a single cab (as of 3/12/25), but turns out only due to never having one to test fit with. After a quick email and a guarantee to cover shop fees if things don't fit, I decided to take a gamble. Gotta say, the idea to sell a resonator-back exhaust instead of Y-Pipe back means it fits every size combo possible for one SKU. Instructions are thin, but there's not that many pieces to the puzzle. Removing the resonator with the rest made the job much easier, just got to remember there's a weep hole that needs to face down on install. All the parts fit real easy and the welds are great. Went with the aggressive muffler, from never living with an aftermarket exhaust before I reckon it drones a little at 2000 RPM (80MPH), but real peaceful at 1700 RPM (75 MPH). It will have a drone for the fist few weeks but evens out after a month or so. It comes alive under throttle, but also quiet enough for early mornings in the neighborhood. Also the Y in the muffler splits smoothly and every band clamp being a 15mm matches with the factory one (no mixing SAE and metric in the middle of a project is truly appreciated)

Do you have any sound clips by chance? This seems to check all the boxes for what I'm looking for. Thanks for the writeup and pictures, it's really helpful adding to my research on exhaust options. It'd be great if you could make an update after a few weeks with your thoughts after having it for a bit. Thanks!

Most definitely can do some sound clips. A 2 week update ain't a bad idea either.

Update overdue but I'm glad I waited. Took it on a road trip after the first week and it had a pretty grating drone at 2k RPM/ 75-80 MPH, and was super bummed. But just driving it and letting the muffler settle in has eliminated it and now I have an even tone throughout the rev range. Will try to get some sound bites next week, but the YouTube clip above is quite accurate. I'm definitely back to happy with the setup. The aggressive muffler I think strikes a great balance between loud'n'roudy and still having a peaceful conversation in the cab.

Well, I just learned something. A muffler can settle in. What changes?

Depending on the construction of the muffler, the packing can wear in a bit. You'll see that a lot with glass packs and straight through mufflers that use rock wool or fiberglass packing.

Every muffler I've had on my vehicles has gotten louder over time. Magnaflow, multiple borlas, and Roush. They've all gotten louder and gotten deeper.

Flowmasters and stock mufflers are the only ones I have dealt with. It makes sense that packed mufflers might change over time.
