Just wanted to put something up for reference. In my opinion, it sounds great! Nice and loud on cold start. Sounds good when you lay into it but at 63mph it’s barely noticeable. I wouldn’t say drone but all exhaust have a drone so it’s real quiet. I will try to get interior vids of the sound when I can.

Nice, I can always appreciate a good exhaust. I’ve been really undecided about adding an exhaust to the 3.5. If it sounds like the Nissan Z motors of the VW VR6’s I would do it in a heartbeat.

It looks really good, what size tips are those? Any plans to do the tremor rear bumper?

If it sounded like either of those it would have been my first upgrade to the truck.

Yeah, I had AWE Tuning on my VWs and their quality is top notch! Hell they make exhaust for super cars as well. Great company.

Believe the tips are 5” I do plan of doing the tremor bumper at a later date. Truthfully, I thought this exhaust would make me wanna do it sooner but it doesn’t look that bad.

For better or for worse, I’m running low on my current list of mods and I’m coming up on a tremor rear bumper as my next project lol.

mill be keeping AWE in mind if I choose to upgrade for sure

You won’t be disappointed. Install wasn’t bad. I grabbed some rhino ramps and backed up on them. The hardest part was separating the factory exhaust to make it easier to remove. Still a pain separated. Other than that it was straight forward. Pretty happy so far. I really like the diamond black tips that’s for sure

I’m still hoping for a trombone loop valved exhaust for quiet cold starts during the week but import sounding v6 when I want to get on it.

Will that change the tone significantly? I’ve never messed with a looped exhaust

It’s what the raptor v6 raptor uses to create their sound profile.

Don't forget, in conjunction with the X-pipe. The trombone loop just makes the two side equal length up to the crossover, and doesn't change the sound on its own.

Sounds like every other inline 6...

At least the VG has a unique firing order 1-2-3-4-5-6
but does it have the same inline "V" angle lol
funny you say that b/c i thought the VG sounds like every other inline 6

The only VG I've ever heard that sounds like an inline was a guy who made a FULL custom exhaust on his and experimented heavily with it.

Otherwise they sound more lopey and boat-like
