In my previous F150 there was a feature called autolock disabled / enabled. Autolock works when all doors are closed, ignition is on and the truck reaches 12 mph., the doors lock. Does anyone know how to turn autolock off? I often pick up and drop off family curbside, and find myself constantly unlocking the doors. There is an auto unlock setting. But this requires the vehicle be put in park and drivers door to be opened. I don't want the doors to lock in the first place, so I would prefer to disable the autolock feature.

Probably have to be a forscan function. BCM module has “auto lock” and “auto relock “ options.

I was wondering this as well. Always hated when people’s cars did this and wanted to disable it right away but didn’t see a way to. Same goes for the seatbelt alarm. I always use my seatbelt, but it drives me nuts when it comes on in a parking lot or something.

They is a way to disable the seatbelt minder, it involves on/ off ignition, and plug and unplug seatbelt 7 times, there's some good videos on YouTube to do this. You needs to do this for both sides, driver and passenger. Wife was pissed standing in the rain with the passenger door locked. Ugh.

Hi Zyvin. I've been toying with the idea of loading forscan on my laptop and purchasing a cable. Theres other things I'd like to do. Like windows up with the remote. But I'm a little intimated with the idea. I'm afraid I'll screw up the truck with only 800 miles on it. I don't know any one locally with knowledge if I get In a bind with it. I should jump in, I'm a computer guy and have setup networking hardware for years, and a bricked switch or gateway doesn't scare me the way forscan does.

you wouldn’t have any issues. I’ve been doing it on my last 3 trucks. I was mainly into stereo mods etc, so it was very useful (sync 2 to 3 conversion, etc) There’s so much info available now and the “easy mode” is good for those that don’t feel good changing hex. Anything and everything can be reset to original. I had auto start/stop disabled before I had 300 miles. Just wait a day or two and someone will try the auto lock and let you know if it’s possible.

Zyvin, your right! Thanks for the encouragement, I think it's time for me to jump in with forscan and get into something other than network hardware. Give a week or so, crossed fingers and let you know how I'm doing. Thanks

No problem. Just keep an eye on the spreadsheet in the sticky of this forum. livnitup is the man, and he will update the spreadsheet as he gets the info.

Auto lock control: go into the APIM in forscan, set “control” to “enable”. Then the option to turn auto lock on and off will be in the settings menu. I tried it and it works great.

Wow! This is great. It will be first on my list of things to do when I get in there with forscan. Since we spoke last, I have now purchased the cable and installed the software but have not had the opportunity to get out to my truck and start working with it. Life just isn't giving me the free time right now to get into it for a couple of hours in peace. I'll have time this weekend, and let you know how it goes. Thank you!

Mission accomplished! Thanks for your help Zyvin. Plus I went into BCM and disabled " double honk on exit" now it's just like my old 2012 that had a key....

At the time the "auto lock" option was enabled by default on the Crew cab trucks and Disabled "no slide switch" on the extended cab trucks.

The setting was found by @Zyvin in forscan under APIM quick settings. I can't imagine why it wouldn't have worked on your truck. If you go back in with Forscan does the setting "auto lock control function" show as enabled?

Also, I always do a APIM reset (wrench icon in forscan) after making changes to the API; otherwise they may not show up immediately.
