Auto Start Stop can now be disabled via FORScan on 2021 F-150

Considering how many people were looking for this info and willing to drop $100+ for gadgets to shut this off, I figured it deserved it's own thread to help gather attention.

Big thanks to all the people helping to crack the code, especially @Airborne_Ape who was willing to test this and many others on his own truck, and to @Livnitup who keeps updating the spreadsheet so the rest of us can tailor our trucks to our own needs/wants. Thank you!

If you keep the Stop Start status monitor open in the IPC (found in the Trip Fuel menu) you can monitor that every time auto stop start should kick in it will not due to a 'steering maneuver in progress', which is a auto stop start interrupt generated by setting this.”

Can confirm: This is the only notification that I get, and it is only visible if you are already looking at this screen.

No errors, no warnings, no side effects (so far). ?

What is forscan? JK, but I know that question is coming.

Interested to see if this will also keep the “hands on the wheel” warning from coming up if it thinks there is always steering input. Or effect lane keeping at all. Cool find though, anyone need a $100 gadget.

An interesting thought. Could we possibly be that lucky? Now I wish I had taken it for a longer test drive.

I guess I'll have to make a dinner run to the other side of the city to test that out later tonight...

No luck. It doesn't seem to have any effect on lane centering, lane keeping, or the annoying hands on wheel message.

But it does keep the engine from shutting down, so ultimately it's still a victory!

Has anyone tested the disabling of the Auto Stop/Start with the 2021 PowerBoost Hybrid generator?

I'm curious if it would impact the vehicle in Generator mode because it will auto start and stop to charge the batteries.

I don't have my truck yet, but I assumed it wasn't coming with this feature...now I'm realizing it might. Is this screen something that comes up every time you drive? Or is it just in one special spot in the menu where, if you arent in it, you'll never see it?

This is only on the Auto Start/Stop status screen. It's not a forced notification.

My truck has the auto start/stop deleted from the factory. They remove the button and put a blank dummy button in its place and then they must change the code so it doesn’t look for any conditions to engage it. It’s a -$50 dollar option to get this also. Win win ?

My point in saying this is, there must be a code to simply delete it altogether. I don’t get any messages on the screen or anything. It behaves as if it never existed.
Next time I’m in FORScan I’ll look up the program in mine and forward it for comparison.
