I thought the max tow option doesn't change the springs or load rating? Did I get that wrong?

The answer may be "It depends". I was under the impression that for many (not necessarily all) models, it goes from a 2 leaf pack to a 3 leaf pack.

Does it add a leaf for the powerboost?
This would be one of those weird things where everybody pays the same but some may get less for their money?

In my case, Ford never notified me.

You should get your order number via email in the next day or so.

Then I recommend contacting Ford via phone or online chat once a week (on Thursday's or Friday) to ask if you have a VIN assigned. Eventually you'll get a VIN this way.

If you are eager for as much info as possible, once you get your VIN, ask your dealer to get your email signed up for VINView. Then you'll get automatic updates as your truck goes through the build and transport process.

I didn't even notice this was the Granger thread - lol.

Chip at Granger signed me up for Vinview. It actually makes his job easier, as I never had to reach out to him again to ask if there was a status. I just emailed him asking him to signed me up, and he did it right away.

Congrats on your truck. This is my first truck, and a couple of months in, it's my favorite vehicle of all time.

My Granger experience was the 2nd best buying experience in my life, only exceeded by European delivery for a BMW, as that included a factory tour and getting to drive around Europe for 2 weeks...

We are in Washington State - so it was a long drive home, but we got to see friends and relatives along the way and had a terrific road trip.

I highly recommend adding the secure code keypad. Cost me $130 in parts and a couple hours of time.

That's another great tip, I left it off knowing it's a deal install option and I could consider it later. I've read about Forscan and plan to get that too.

Yeah, I've almost typed foreskin a few times, lol.

Forscan is worth getting, as you can make some nice adjustments. Not difficult to do at all, just make a backup and change one thing at a time.
