Granger is apparently incredibly busy and aren't responding very fast.

I've dialed in a (great!) quote from them but I'm having a hellva time getting a few questions answered up front, the rest I've figured out eventually on my own from the order guide.

I'm just considering adding a few things mainly at this point. Maybe someone here like @Zach knows:

1. Is the 4% discount only for factory options and not the dealer installed options? I'm considering tossing in the spray in bed liner and Tonneau Pickup Box Cover – Retractable. (Is it hard to take that off if I want to use a temporary camper shell as well?)

2. I think I've heard people recommend the extended warranty for Granger orders but maybe in some cases/state it's a bad idea? I live in Texas.
You get the discount on the dealer installed items as well. I did the wheel well liners and hard tonneau and got the discount on both.

If you email [email protected], my ordering specialist can help answer any question!

1. 4% on all options.

2. When it comes to an ESP, purchasing one when your vehicle arrives would be the time but the ESP is a Ford Extended Warranty and is accepted at your local dealer :)

For what it's worth, my 2025 KR PB has a 30 gallon tank.
Okay, maybe I misread:

Fuel Tank
— Standard Range 23 Gallon (Regular Cab 6.5’ Box)
— Extended Range 36 Gallon (Regular Cab (NA w/ 6.5’
Box), SuperCab and SuperCrew®)

The 23 Gallon may just come with the Regular Cab. SuperCab and SuperCrew get the 36 unless it's Powerboost then they get 30 maybe. I see this in King Ranch:

3.5L PowerBoost Full Hybrid V6 Engine (req. Hybrid Electronic Ten-Speed Automatic Transmission
(44H); removes 36 Gallon Fuel Tank; Incl. Pro Power Onboard – 7.2KW)

Similar from there down to XLT, they just don't saw what it's replaced with and nothing about 30 gallon in the order guide.

For the platinum I'm looking at it doesn't say 'removes':

3.5L PowerBoost Full Hybrid V6 Engine (req. Hybrid Electronic Ten-Speed Automatic Transmission
(44H) ; Incl. Pro Power Onboard – 7.2KW)

Thanks for the answered questions folks, very helpful!!

Ah! Quoting is working now. I suspect you do not have the 6.5" bed. If you do that would make me very happy.
Correct - I have the short bed.

The AI I just queried says XLT and above Powerboosts get 30 gallon for 5.5 bed and 36 gallon for the larger beds.
Is that really true? The 6.5' bed gets a 36 gallon tank? Dang!!

I have no idea if it's true. I just used the free AI that comes with the Brave interwebs browser. It's a great browser if you don't like adds and getting spied on but suddenly I cannot quote again.

I use Brave as my main browser, but to attach images lately here I have to use a different browser....

Good luck with that. All PB get a 30 gallon tank.

That's what I thought.
6 more gallons would likely have swayed me towards getting the long bed, as I was really on the fence between 5.5 and 6.5.

I wonder if Brave AI gets this one wrong too:

"The 2025 Ford F150 tonneau pickup box cover option code 96J is made of aluminum, not carbon fiber. It is an electrically operated retractable tonneau cover."

Then it goes and lists 3 different covers, one of which is manual:

"Retrax PRO MX: This is one of the best retractable tonneau covers for the F150, featuring remote control operation and adjustability.

LEER Power Retractable Tonneau Cover: This cover is durable, has a secure metal surface, and features hands-free electric operation.

Retrax Embark Retractable Tonneau Cover: While this cover is manually retractable, it is key lockable at any position along the rail and uses a sealed ball-bearing roller system for easy one-handed operation.
The electrically operated covers provide convenience and ease of use, making them a popular choice for F150 owners."

I'm not really sure I'd want electric anyway.

For anyone concerned about adding the FX4 package and Max Tow, and how it might make the ride too stiff. I've scanned a lot of threads and the consensus is pretty much yeah, it's going to make the ride suck more than either would do individually where people are even debating that.

Air tire pressure, tire choice, wheel size...

But if you have a bit of $ you can fix it apparently after the purchase by (as per AI):

When truck‑owners talk about “mild coil‑overs,” they’re referring to swapping out the stock shock‑and‑spring assemblies for coil‑over shock units that have relatively soft spring rates and just a few extra inches of travel or lift. In practice this means:

Coil‑over assembly: a single unit where the coil spring is perch‑mounted around the shock body. Aftermarket kits (e.g. from Fox, Bilstein, King, ICON) let you pick a spring rate that’s only a touch firmer than stock, plus often give an inch or two of lift for extra wheel travel and clearance.

Mild spring rate: instead of a heavy, stiff off‑road spring, you choose something close to the OEM rate (or just 10–15% higher). That way you get better bump absorption off‑road and less bottoming out, but you don’t end up with a rock‑hard ride on pavement.

Adjustability: most coil‑overs let you preload the spring perch or change ride height easily, so you can tune things for unloaded vs. towing/groceries.

“Helper springs” (sometimes called overload springs or air helper springs) are a secondary spring element that only comes into play under load:

Mechanical helper coil: a small extra coil spring that sits either above or below your main coil spring. It carries very little weight when you’re unloaded (so it doesn’t stiffen up your ride), but under heavier payload it quickly engages to keep the truck level and prevent sag.

Air helper spring: a little air bag that fits inside (or alongside) the main coil spring. You pump it up with a hand pump or onboard compressor when you tow or carry a load, and the added air pressure firms the suspension only when you need it.

Why people combine them:
A mild coil‑over gives you smoother travel off‑road without a massive ride‑quality penalty, and helper springs let you carry heavy loads or tow without bottoming the suspension—while still enjoying a compliant ride when unladen.

-- I've been a back surgery candidate since my mid-20s and I'm 53 now so this matters, I still try to stay as active as possible, did not know about any of this...

Prices it recommended for decent quality (it gave ranges) and labor didn't seem too awful to me. Apparently none of this voids warranties etc.,. I didn't ask it offered that.

I thought the max tow option doesn't change the springs or load rating? Did I get that wrong?

I am not sure; I've read both. All I know fore sure is that it changes the axel ratio.

"A higher ratio can make the vehicle feel more responsive and powerful, but it can also make the ride feel more jarring on rough surfaces."
