And here is the reason for the elevated rear cab floor on the Lightning and another reason Ford is going quick to design the 2nd gen EV Lightning to be released in 2025.

Why do you think it needs a redesign? Better yet why does Ford think it needs a redesign?

The cab is exactly the same on the ICE trucks as it is on the Lightning. The only differences in the sheet metal are the fenders, hood, outer bodysides and the tailgate on the Lariat+ models. The XLT and PRO model get the current gas truck tailgate.
How difficult is it going to be to swap the tailgate from a Lariat to an XLT? Will the wiring already be there on the XLT? Thanks Pioneer! You are the man!

Well, that would depend. I don't know if the taillights are different between the models that have the different style tailgate. And Ford in the past hasn't included all the wiring in the harnesses between different models.

Can the tailgate be added? Absolutely. But it might necessitate a change of taillights and wiring to be added. But the mounting points will be exactly the same.

No. Maybe at a later date, but not now. Everything coming into the REV is pre-production right now. Maybe after normal production starts.

No photos I see of an ICE SuperCrew suggests the elevated rear cab floor is any different in the EV version.

Here is another clear shot of an ICE F150 SuperCrew
