I am looking for another piece to the "tow package puzzle"

the 4150lb axle is not called out on the eSourceBook specs as having the 9.75" ring gear, or the 9.75" HD ring gear, which I believe is the 3/4 float. Some of the scheduling reports led us to believe that the max tow was waiting on the 3/4 float axle, so I wanted to physically confirm. Can anyone help out that actually has one?
Thanks.

I have no idea, but, my super-8’ is supposed to be getting the 4150 rear.
I stayed with the standard 3.31 but got the locking. ( so I suspect 8.75 rear)
Also—checking frame stuff, the 157” & 164” trucks get the heavy duty frame at .11” thick material.
Three or four different frame thicknesses on these things, and applications seem to be all over the map.

4x4 HD HEV

HEV might stand for "Hybrid Electric Vehicle"

I have EB XLT 4X4 Max Tow.....what can we look for to help you identify?

Honestly, I don't know. I know that the hub/axle assembly is different but I would have to see one of each with a label to tell. I'm no ASE mechanic, just an avid follower of the trucks.

What are the labels hpp hd Ld? Do they have bearing on the axle type? Heavy payload light duty heady duty?
Yes but its interesting they also call out HEV 4x4. That's oddly specific for a frame. We need to compare some from other trucks if people are feeling generous and don't mind getting dirty.

OK where is the sticker located at on the truck's frame?
