I had them on my last truck, I took them off after a year because they made the truck way too stiff for daily driving.

if you only need them occasionally, they are really easy to install and remove. Literally takes about 30 minute.
I have mine installed right now preparing for an upcoming trip pulling my trailer but will remove them after the trip as you can definitely “feel” them going over bumps and sharp dips in the road. Not terrible but you can feel them.

My understanding is that they stay out of the way, they do not contact the axel unless you have a significant load. They replace the bump stops. Similar to the bump stop, it shouldn't be contacting the axel when unloaded. Unlike the bump stop the Timbren provides some damping when loaded. That's my understanding. I'm considering adding these my standard payload to reduce swat when loaded.

I have them installed, they do not and are Not, designed to touch unless they need to be( with heavy load) then they should be in full contact in a perfect world.

Had them on my last 2 trucks....
With no load they were about an inch from axle.
They most definitely help with sag when loaded up,are cheap and easy to install.
I've had airbags in the past....
I think I'll put timbrens on my 21 as well....if it ever shows :(

Had them on the 2021 F150 for towing a camper that weighed 5500# loaded. Replaced them with the Roadmaster Active Suspension system which is much better. What happened with the Timbren was that with the trailer attached the F150 sagged right down on the Timbrens. So can't say they didn't prevent the rear of the F150 from sagging more but didn't feel that they were the answer for my use. Am completely happy with the Roadmaster setup.
