I bought the platinum plan but today after only a month I decided it was too expensive. I go to the dealership and asked to speak with finance and he comes out and tells me the forms are at the reception desk. I thought that was odd or a sign that many people change their minds. The platinum plan costs $3,999.00 for 5 years. It would be nice when the electronics fail like the screen going blank or whatever but right now I can use that money for home repair caused by the deep freeze in Texas.

my dealer upsold me on it. I'm never one to buy service plans as I'm a strict DIYer. they worked the price down to $1000 so it just added a few bucks to the monthly payment. I figured I'd break even with one electronic gizmo failing

I don't buy till i know that I'm keeping it. Which i usually don't, because i haven't really had a vehicle that was completely trouble free and a joy to owe. Wife's 2017 Explorer however has been one of those rare vehicles without any issues at all throughout it's life and we're not getting rid of it. Bought Extended Warranty for it just before factory Warranty expired. No sooner!

I bought the 6 year/ 100k on the XLT. It was just shy of $2k.
You can find them cheaper in the warranty forum on this site.

I got the 96/100k plan that was around $1800. I don’t usually do esps, but I do tend to keep trucks a long time.

I’m getting old (turn 50 this year) and everything I buy now seems like it’s complete crap, lol (get off my lawn voice). Try to find real brass garden hose fittings, or get a #2 for lunch and see how people screw that up. So, I have little faith in plastic bits (cam phasers) and modules to work forever.

Mine came with a “lifetime” power train warranty for as long as I own the vehicle. It has a small deductible, but at least has me covered in the event there’s a serious problem with the engine/transmission/drivetrain. Good enough for me.

I bought an 8/75 plan from the dealer for 3400$. Special Presidents Day price. Wanted 1000$ more for 100k miles. 2 weeks later I told them I had changed my mind. Had to fill out a form and show evidence I had paid off the car and a few more weeks later I got all the $$ back. Just bought a 8/100 with lights and 1st day rental from Zeigler for 1825$. Used my FordPass points to get it down to 1615$. Funny that Zeigler only charges like 40$ to go from 8/75 to 8/100 and the dealer wanted 1000$ extra.

I took the Flood pricing in with me when I picked up the truck and the dealer matched it. I don't typically buy these things, but I plan on being in this truck for quite a long time and, being a hybrid, I just didn't want to take the chance of something going south.
